We loved everything about this apartment and had four fantastic days and were very well taken care of by the host's mum who seems to run the show. Well equipped kitchen, effective AC, great location and a short-ish walk to the beautiful Žitna beach. Be aware that Zavalatica is small, with only two restaurants and one shop, but for a quiet vacation, we loved it! Things I think are not clear in the description: parking is great, which is important in a village like this. Also, the house has a private area by the ocean, with 8 sun beds and a shaded table and its own ladder into the ocean (for once, no swimming shoes required, this is to deep to step on a sea urchin) which made it super convenient to take a quick dip in the sea before breakfast and whenever the day got too hot. We had a very nice balcony and also use of the washing machine just outside our door. And the shop, with pretty much everything you need on a day to day basis, is a few steps away. Highly recommended!

The location was so close to the beautiful village of Vela Luka. Mara and her family were incredible hosts so welcoming and friendly, I felt at home straight away , the room was above my expectation very clean air con , added bonus of use of fridge and outside courtyard , with a beautiful big orange tree to shelter from the Croatian sunshine.

Keep in mind that Korčula, like many seaside towns, lies on a hillside, so you must go uphill to reach the apartment (a 10-minute walk), and there are some stairs if you're walking from the town to the building and around the building itself. We didn't mind that, though, it's a nice walk.
