Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

We have booked 3 rooms but 2 of which has problem with the aircon. Staff was fast to change our room . We were surprised with the Tatami room provided for us . Make our stay really pleasant and surprise. Is really nice and huge .1

It is located 47 km from Appi Kogen Ski Resort and features luggage storage space. The guest house features family rooms. Super spacious and comfortable room. Really wanted to stay longer but had to take the first Hanawa Line train😭😭

It's a very big place, with all the ground floor available for us, with a completely equipped kitchen, washing machine, and everything we need. There is a small shopping center in a walking distance from the house, and a few restaurants too. Koh's house is in a calm a residential neighborhood which is nice to get closer to the japanese lifestyle in a small village, but there is a train station in a walking distance from there and it's just one station distant from Akita's main station. Finally, our host Koh is a very nice person, insisting in picking us up at Akita main station upon our arrival, and leaved us back there when we left, and very helpful all the time.

Akita Museum of Art is also a 7-minute walk away. The staff were very accommodating, considering it was a last minute booking on a very tight schedule. While there were only a few rooms left at the time of the booking, the guest was satisfied with the facilities and the stay overall. It is a second stay for this guest at this hotel, and much like the previous stay, the thing that truly makes this hotel stand out is the courtesy and treatment by the staff, which I found exceptional even by the high standards of the Japanese hospitality industry. It is within a reasonable walking distance of several hot springs spas, the major commercial center which is the area of the train station, and the primary nightlife area of Kawabata. Highly recommended in for anyone traveling to, or staying in, Akita city.
