The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. The tub on the porch was amazing. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!

Massive space with beautiful balcony, such helpful staff - so friendly and welcoming. Take subway from Hakata station to Gion and short walk from there. Nice, quiet neighbourhood but tons of buses and subway near by..

Wakariki Ryokan enjoys a location in Yanagawa, just 20 km from Yoshinogari Historical Park and 32 km from Hirayama Hot Spring. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Excellent small ryokan next to one of the punting stations. Room was huge and had a view to garden and canal. Excellent dinner and breakfast. We noted that Yanagawa could have been a better place to visit Yoshinogari and Dazaifu than our next stay in Fukuoka - Yanagawa has excellent fast direct train to Dazaifu. Next time would stay more than 1 night in this Ryokan

However, it has been well-maintained and preserved, making it a worthwhile place to visit.
