Ako Onsen, Ako
Situated in Ako in the Hyogo region, Dot Glamping 赤穂 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. The property is located 2.5 km from Karafuneyama Beach, 37 km from Hachimangu Shrine and 37 km from Bizen Fukuoka Folk Museum. The luxury tent has a hot tub and a housekeeping service. From the second we arrived till we left the parking lot we felt nothing but overly welcome. The place is absolutely amazing. The staff even more so. We chose the accommodation for the clamping, we knew nothing about the town or area. Also this was a very pleasant surprise. It felt like we were the only tourists in the city and everyone, without exception, made us feel welcome. Dot Glamping in Ako might be the best surprise on our fantastic trip to Japan. The tent is huge, and although there is so much to see outside of the premises, it is well worth it not leaving, just enjoying the place. The private area is great too. We stayed two nights, and as we didn't have a car, we chose to include dinner in our order - do that, it is well worth it. The first night we got yakiniku which we grilled in the main building, the second night we got seafood which we grilled in our private area next to the tent, overlooking the ocean and sunsent. It is difficult to describe the welcome and feeling of staying at Dot Glamping in Ako, maybe the amazing staff just made it so much more, but I would travel to this place again. I can only recommend it. Nature is so close and is so beautiful in Ako!

They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially with the language barrier, even assisting us with restaurant reservations. The design of the room and the cedar soaking tub were both impressive and relaxing. But, the highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. The team at Oito also manages the cafe at the front of the property, and as guests, we had the option to enjoy breakfast (for an small fee) before the cafe opened. It felt like having our own private chef. Though the menu was simple, it was absolutely delicious. Having the cafe to ourselves made for such a peacfeful and memorable start to the day. We highly recommend it!

Best location possible for Himeji: directly between Himeji station and the castle grounds. You can walk under covered streets the whole way if it's raining. The owner is super nice, even gave us some free cake! It's 100 yen to rent a towel, but I feel that's reasonable. Of course it is hostel-style so the quality of your sleep is reliant on the other guests but everyone who was there when we went was nice and quiet at night.
Wonderful place to stay. I loved making onigiri for breakfast and the personnel accompanied me and we had a lovely chat while making it. The place itself is nice and quiet. It's a 10 minute walk from Shin-Kobe station (although uphill so it's a pain with big luggage). The waterfalls are only a good 15-minute walk away and the city center is about 30 minutes away. There's a bus stop around the corner as well. There's a shared fully equipped kitchen, living room and two showers. I would definitely recommend this place!
Best location with its own theme as antique, vintage style
Small hostel on the side of the Chinese district. Nice, cheap and cozy - good access to the city center so location is a plus. The shower facilities were clean and good quality - though of course renting the bed in shared room it's not entirely private. Still I shared the room with only one other Japanese person and it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Location is fantastic. Accessible to everything a traveller needs. Variety of food options (many restaurants near by), shopping malls, the famous Himeji castle, transportation and Shinkansen and local trains. One of the best locations in the Himeji city.
The view of the hotel is really good and its good for its price. Staffs are nice and helpful. Location wise its really close to the shopping malls nearby and the hotel offers shuttle to the city centre station also.
Excellent place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice rooms. The location is very conveniently located near restaurants, the supermarket and the railway station. The staff was very helpful and friendly A bonus were the washing machines (coin operated) were we could replenish our clean clothes conveniently.
First of all the owner Sai is a great host and will help you with anything you need. She even took us to a hike in the mountains. The bar in the hostel is a great chillout place, you could also choose music if you like. Rooftop and big kitchen too. Also the location is near city center
Spacious room for a family of 2 adults and a 7yo. A triple-sharing room had a decent extra bed that was not a sofa bed. The room was clean and bath amenities were generously provided. Location was great as it was within walking distance to Motomachi station and Harborland. Parking was also affordable at ¥1000/day for guests. Service staff were always warm and helpful. Overall a lovely stay at a reputable hotel.
