The location is unbeatable and the beach is absolutely gorgeous. I had a wonderful seaview from my room. The property is old and run down but there wasn’t anything I missed. The rooms had everything I needed, the beds were comfortable. The included food (half board) was delicious. The reef was very good and I even saw turtles. If you are looking for some peace and quiet on a beautiful beach, this is the place for you.

Staff is very accommodating, front desk went put of the way to make sure we understood everything including shuttle times, especially since we were foreigners. Restaurant was amazing and fair priced. Very understanding, before we even asked they already told us we could store our luggage in front desk, since there was am awkward time between check out and the ferry departure. We are so grateful for welcoming us on their island.

Hanamuro Inn Aka Island is set in Zamami, 90 metres from Maehama Beach, 400 metres from Statue of Shiro, as well as less than 1 km from Amagusuku Observatory. We stayed at Hanamuro Inn for two nights and absolutely loved it. The inn is simple, clean, and full of charm. Just like the island itself. The owner is warm and welcoming, and the whole place had a laid-back, friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. Aka Island is small, quiet, and stunningly beautiful. You’re surrounded by turquoise water, white sand beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Around the inn, there are a few small restaurants and two little supermarkets. It is just enough to enjoy good local food without any stress. If you’re looking to unwind, swim, snorkel, or just take in the natural beauty, Hanamuro Inn is a perfect place to stay. We would absolutely come back. A lovely spot on a lovely little island.

A terrace, an on-site snack bar and shared lounge are available. The room is nice. It was comfortable, the kids loved the loft. There’s a laundry room and shower room and sauna outside. The sunset view from the rooftop was amazing too. The staff was nice and friendly. It was a quiet and peaceful stay. We would like to comeback again.

Set in Tokashiki, near Hijuishi Beach and Aharen Beach, Grandblue HARVELKITICHEN is a recently renovated property, featuring free WiFi, a terrace and bar. The property is around 2.1 km from Tokashiku Beach, 600 metres from Aharen Observatory and 1.4 km from Teruyama Observatory. Excellent place to stay! We went there at the end of May (typhoon season) and we were the only one in the hotel. The day we came they picked us up at the port in a heavy rain, very grateful for that. Also the they we left they drove us to the other port for our ferry. The room is cool with a big tv which was a great thing because we got heavy rain all day. Comfty bed. Its at Aharen beach, literally 40 seconds walking. We had lunch at our hotel - absolutely delicious and very large selection to choose from. Close by is also a convenient store and some other restaurants. We could leave our bags in the room and use facilities until late afternoon. It was a pleasure to stay!
