The view from the room was stunning, especially in the morning, when you can see the sunrise. The location is perfect, 3-5 mins walk from the cable car. Gorgeous Hozanji temple is only 5 mins away. Nara Guesthouse was very accommodating to us and our needs. When we needed to drop off our luggage a bit earlier in the morning, they allowed us to! The space is also very large and I would totally recommend booking out the entire guesthouse for larger groups. I loved how the location was so close to everything you can imagine.

The guesthouse has a good location between the JR station, the Kinketsu station and Nara’s park, and the house is a japanese traditional one with nice common rooms to rest and to cook. From the dormitories you don’t hear the noise from the road ( but you won’t escape the crickets when the sun is up!).

The hotel is right next to the station so is very easily accessible. It is also very easy to get a bus down to Nara park and the other big sights. Great location.
The room was a good size and well equipped.
The hotel was lovely with so many extras - a free onsen, free evening drinks, pjs, a choice of pillows etc. Staff were very friendly and welcoming

The location is amazing, literally inside Nara park, so very close to the deers and some amazing temples. Our room was big and comfortable, the showers were great and the staff super friendly. It was also great that we had sockets so close to the beds in our room.

Amazing Japanese house, nicely furnished. Great location to explore Nara, 5 mins walk to the middle of the town. You can park a large 7 seats MPV in front of the house for free.

Great location, the temple is beautiful and nice to be able to visit the grounds during the evening and early morning. The monks are very friendly and speak English well. The food that was served for diner and breakfast was delicious. The fire ritual was great to experience. Highly recommend.

Lovely location, you can see the deers just outside the inn. It is a 15 minute walk from the Jr station and within walking distance to the main attractions in Nara. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the activities, origami, calligraphy, etc. offered by the visitor center. Perfect value for money

Wonderful location, so close to the most common tourist attractions, but also nearby lots of cute little streets and great restaurants. The atmosphere was calm, everything was clean, and the staff were 10/10 so wonderful! They truly went above and beyond for us while we were there, and they made the stay even better.
The cafe was lovely as well, and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and watch the deer graze right next to us. Overall a very serene and calm experience.

The room was very clean and, as for the amenities, were fully provided. On the 6th floor it has the Japanese dai-yokujo (huge baths, devided by gender). Best location possible, as, once you arrive at Nara and get off the train, it's on the same level of the train station: you. can drop the luggages and start your sightseeing. It provides different restaurants, such as the Japanese Teppanyaki, where the ingredients were supreme, including the wagyu (tried this food exp).

The building was old and had a great charme. The location was great, not too far from the main attractions but not in the noisy city center (especially at night). 10min on foot to the nearest train station and 15/20min to Nara park. A lot of interesting attractions all around.

The bed was soooo good 🥰 a very good thick mattress and a good thick cover,
Everything was Very clean.
You have your own bathroom and there is a bath attached to it 🤤.
Enough toilet paper and toothbrush.
And there is a kitchen, where you can cook your own meal.
And of course a smoking area for people who smoke.
This was the best place to stay in Japan
