The great Grandma, Deguchi san, such a cute and kind person and she takes care about everything including my plan at The Valley! She and her son (Kazuya san, he used to be a chef manager.) cook so delicious meals every single day with a different menu for dinner, it was sooooo delicious!! I really enjoyed chatting with other guests from over the world and it was very fun! My room and entire the accommodation was super clean! The location is perfect for looking around the vine bridge, there are several public bus services which run every 1 hour between Oboke station and the Kazurabashi. They offered a special discount for the nearest Onsen, called Hotel Kazurabashi Onsen which was so nice and plus point! (15 mins walks from the Ryokan.) There are only 5 rooms at the accommodation so book well beforehand to have such nice experience from the locals!! I really highly recommend here if visiting the Iya valley and will definitely come back to see the lovely family again in the near future for sure! The hostel Alrik is very kind and has good tips for local activities. Besides, he made designed the place with style and keeps it clean. Even the beds were comfortable, whicht is quite rare for a Japanese style room. The neighbourhood offers some of the best mountain and Gorge views of the island. You can cook at the guesthouse or head out for diner at the local restaurants next to the guesthouse. Highly recommend to stay here.

Breakfast served was wonderful, egg, fruit and yoghurt. The house had been carefully been renovated 5 years ago. The setting in the valley is wonderful. We could swim in the river just 2 min walk from the house.
