Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.

We stayed in a beautifully designed, cozy room (everything inside was chosen with care and filled with comfort) The atmosphere at Emboo is magical: peaceful nature, evenings around the fire on soft poufs under the stars, delicious meals, and a deep connection to the nature. We would especially like to thank: Felix, our safari guide — calm, deeply experienced, and one of the best in his field. He made every game drive feel personal and insightful. Tobin, the photographer, full of passion and soul. Every photo he took captured something deeper than just an image. Rhoda, who looked after us during every breakfast, lunch, and dinner with incredible kindness and attention. And Pedro, who always brought a smile, kindness, and genuine care. he made us feel truly welcomed. The little things made, like hot water bottles waiting in our room at night and even placed in the safari jeep for those chilly early drives. These thoughtful touches left a lasting impression. The entire team at Emboo is united by true hospitality, care for nature, and love for what they do. We’re already home, but our hearts are still with you at Emboo. There is a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries in each unit, along with a hair dryer. We had a fantastic stay at Entumoto! The rooms were spacious and clean, filled with all amenities and the service we received was exceptional. Alex was our guide for our game drives and he was incredible and so knowledgeable! We received great food every day and some highlights were a surprise lunch in the middle of our safari day. Our experience was really tailored to what we wanted. Would highly recommend! Also the views were amazing from the camp.

Luckily I had the property to myself and was able to spend most of my time in the bush. The staff were awesome especially the safari guide.

The rooms were very spacious and with excellent staff who were there for any help round the clock. The Talek river view restaurant had a perfect river view and the food was amazing and they made sure we get the food pack for the days when we went for game drive Overall me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will come back whenever we plan our next safari (In sha Allah).

We have seen zebra, giraffe in front of the house. Just relaxing with cup of coffee and watching wild animals live. 100% recommended. Chef and the lady who is hosting there, they both are really amazing people. Whatever we asked for service they are always ready to fulfill our requirements at any time.
