The stay at Rafa and his family was nothing short of amazing. Although there was somewhat of a language barrier it felt like a second family for a few days. The effort that Rafa made to make us feel at home, the love that he showed for the environment and the wonderful personal tours he provided. On top of that his wonderful mother made lovely meals and even made some delicious salsa for us while we left. Big bonus was their lovely dogs. 10/10 experience!

The most thing I liked was the sound of birds in the morning and during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the excursions, but it would be nice if they were a bit longer or more activities. Wifi worked surprisingly very well. The food was more than sufficient and good quality. In general we had a very nice experience and would definitely recommend it.

Expeditions organised by the lodge are various and with excellent guide (Moses). The swimming pool is a plus. Cook is great. Bungalows are very confortable. We highly recommend !

Everything: the host family (Roger, Maria and their sons are all wonderful and nice people), Pepe the resident guacamayo, the location (close to the riverside). The two tours offered by Roger are the best in town and they have been the highlight of our trip to Puerto Maldonado. Definitely recommended!

Located only 3.5 hours from Puerto Maldonado city. (One hour by bus and 2.5 hrs by boat) This lodge is the only one inside the National Reserve of Tambopata.

Rooms are comfortable with electricity 3 times per day. Bathrooms are shared and provide an eco-friendly toiletries kit. Fantastic location to experience the Amazonian forest in a safe environment. Let’s be clear: keeping such a hotel working in a national park demands lots of logistics (they’re not even allowed to do laundry on site , everything linen and food is transported on boats and then by hand!). Their team works like crazy to keep this experience great and they can be proud. Of course it’s not a traditional 5* and the insect experience could be rough to some but you can’t imagine anything better in such a remote location. Truly a memorable experience, knowledgeable and welcoming guides. This is one trip we’ll always remember.

They have a good variety of activities to choose from and our allocated guide, Alan, was the best. We saw many animals, birds, insects and spiders. The staff were very friendly. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend this lodge.

Staff is so friendly and amazing. Rooms are clean, air conditioners smart t.v . For the price it exceeded my expectations! Quiet at night. Can see staff during the day busy repairing and cleaning and taking care of the place. The showers were also very nice hot hot water. Thank you for the great stay.
