At the hostel, every room has a desk and a balcony with a river view. The units at Majacho`s House come with a private bathroom and bed linen. We stayed almost a week and it felt like a homestay because the host Rafael and his family are taking very good care of you. We got a pick up from the airport and on a rainy day we could join them for a trip to the local market in the city. After other guests left they asked us to move in their room because the room was nicer and had more space, moreover they cleaned inbetween our stay. The meals are prepared by the grannys of the family and are very good, same for the Maracuja Piscos Rafael prepared for us in the evening. For out last dinner Rafaels Mom even prepared a chicken from her garden for us - delicious! Besides relaxing we did some tours, which we recommend: - Clay licking perrots and other exotic birds at surise - Sunset Boat Tour - Jungle Hike - Lago Sandoval The first 3 tours were operated by Rafael himself, he has a very good knowledge about the environment and wildlife there, the other tour was organized by him, but with a bigger group and another guide. Moreover, after dinner you can join for a nightwalk to see sloth and other animals on or near the property. After all a great experience.

Together, they make every effort to ensure your stay is the best possible. The wife makes amazing food, while Roger gives beautiful, personal tours in the jungle and on the water. Their child is a kind companion, along with the parrot and the dog. The tours are extremely recommendable! They offer great value for money, personalized, and unique experiences. We also did a tour with a classic operator from the city, but it was far less enjoyable. The food made daily by the wife is exceptional, much better than anything you can get in the city. The accommodation itself is super nice, spacious, with hammocks, plenty of bathrooms, and pleasant seating areas. The location is a bit away from the city along the Tambopata River, providing an amazing jungle experience. It's nicer than the expensive lodges because you aren't completely cut off from the world, yet you still enjoy the real jungle experience. Roger and his wife also help immensely with solving any problems, assisting personally. Overall, this hotel is really amazing, and the tours with Roger are all great. Definitely do them!

Located only 3.5 hours from Puerto Maldonado city. (One hour by bus and 2.5 hrs by boat) This lodge is the only one inside the National Reserve of Tambopata.

Rooms are comfortable with electricity 3 times per day. Bathrooms are shared and provide an eco-friendly toiletries kit. Fantastic location to experience the Amazonian forest in a safe environment. Let’s be clear: keeping such a hotel working in a national park demands lots of logistics (they’re not even allowed to do laundry on site , everything linen and food is transported on boats and then by hand!). Their team works like crazy to keep this experience great and they can be proud. Of course it’s not a traditional 5* and the insect experience could be rough to some but you can’t imagine anything better in such a remote location. Truly a memorable experience, knowledgeable and welcoming guides. This is one trip we’ll always remember.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The staff were fantastic, especially our guide Ciro who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The location and views are amazing! The food was excellent, the property has a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Staff is so friendly and amazing. Rooms are clean, air conditioners smart t.v . For the price it exceeded my expectations! Quiet at night. Can see staff during the day busy repairing and cleaning and taking care of the place. The showers were also very nice hot hot water. Thank you for the great stay.
