Ofcourse value for money compared to those hotels near to the beach. Mafia is a big island but inhabitants is low. Having said that, this hotel was near to any basic amenities required. It is even just 5 to 7 minutes walk to the domestic airport. The staffs welcomed us very well and made our stay exceptionally perfect. They even organized good deal excursion, we all kids managed to see whale-shark and swim with them at Kilindoni which was 10 minutes drive from this hotel. Even snorkeling and blue-lagoon was amazing at Utende which was about 40 minutes drive. All transport was well provided and taken care of us. Looking forward to be back!

The lodge offers a buffet or continental breakfast. I just came back from a week in Kita Kiblu and I wish I could have stayed longer! Everyone at Kita Kiblu is so kind, welcoming and fun; when my travel plans changed last minute I was welcomed back as a friend and I very much hope to visit again soon. As a solo traveller, it was very easy to socialize with guests due to the friendly vibes, lovely bar with views of the sunset and the communal dining. The food at lunch and dinner was excellent and incredibly good value - we had a three course dinner including fresh fish every day and vegetarian guests are well catered-for. My room was very cute and the outdoor shower is lovely. The whale shark encounters were very well-run and Luka, the whale shark interns and the boat crew ensured we had a good experience. The manager Betty works so hard to look after everyone and creates a very special atmosphere on Mafia Island. Eva and the reception staff were super friendly and really helpful!
