I had one of the best experiences of my life at Billie's. It was my first official solo trip at a hostel and I enjoyed every moment of it. The shared spaces feel cozy and made me feel at home right when I arrived. Billie is so welcoming and sweet, and she makes sure everyone has a good time. I cannot find the right words to describe this place because honestly, you just need to go there and live it yourself. I even met a friend there, with whom I shared some adventures and exchanged culture traditions. I wish I could go back! I miss it so much already.

Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and parking outside of rooms is offered as well. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our time at Backwoods Lodge! The owners were exceptional and the room definitely offered the best value. We look forward to staying here again sometime!

Located in Anchorage, within less than 1 km of William A Egan Civic & Convention Center and a 14-minute walk of Dena ina Civic Convention Center, Snob Hollow Inn Downtown Anchorage provides free WiFi throughout the property. The property is situated 2.8 km from Sullivan Arena, 16 km from The Alaska Zoo and 11 km from Alaska Native Heritage Center. The property is 700 metres from the city centre and 400 metres from Anchorage Historic Depot. We had a wonderful stay at Snob Hollow Inn hotel. We can compare this hotel with one night stay at Marriott Downtown (included in the postcruise tour) and we can say the Snob Hollow is better. Firstly, the hosts are very kind. Mandy helped us with bagage storage one night before our stay - we traveled to Seward, stay one night, took the 7.5 h Kenai Fjords cruise with Majore Marine Tours ( I recommend this tour) and came back to Anchorage by train (I recommend this trip - the lanscape is gorgeous, you can see also mooses). Mandy and Holly, her sister, are very kind, they helped me also making a long call in US, we are very grateful to them. The room was very clean, spacious, with a nice corner view (sea and trees), very comfy beds with good linen and pillows, coffee maker, good room temperature. Although in my reservation was mentioned No meal included, we found a very nice decorated living room with food - self serving: cereals and milk (cow, oat, almond) that can be warmed at microwave, healthy (organic) snacks, fruits, jam, butter, cheese, coffee capsules and so on, opened 24 h. Location is very good- in downtown, 3 min walking to the Visitor center (a very nice house), 7 min to Trek Bicycle / I recommed to rent/ nearby Tonny Trail. If you take 1 h Trolley, fully narated, for sightseeing Anchorage, you will receive a coupon booklet (included 20% discount at Trek), is near the train station, 10 min walk to central bus station. The neighbourhood is very safe, very clean. Thank you Mandy and Holly for a great stay! We highly recommend this hotel in Anchorage!

A fridge, a microwave and stovetop are also available in the kitchen, as well as a coffee machine. Staff met us and was helpful in directing us to local trail at Chilkat State Park (a must!). Everything else was as excellent. We had a spectacular view of the fjord from our deck…it was a dream to be there.
