We loved the authenticity of this place, so much so that we stayed 3 days instead of the 1 which we had planned. My husband didn't want to stop originally in Ben Tre and woke up the morning after suggesting we stayed extra :D You'll be surrounded by nature, peace, the most kind Vietnamese family and make sure you speak with Chi about going to the market and cooking with her family. It was something we also hadn't planned because we wanted to skip the tourist traps and it felt like going around Ben Tre with a friend. Bike available for free, Vietnamese coffee and delicious tea available during the day for a very small fee so you don't need to go out if you don't want to. We booked in the afternoon and Chi messaged me right away to organize a transfer from the bus station to the homestay - very smooth! Thank you Chi and your family and friends for making us feel at home, we'll remember the time on the hammocks once we're back to busy London!

Situated along Ben Tre River, the property offers clean and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access in all areas. Guests can go for a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or lounge leisurely in the sun beds. The property also features a sun terrace and waterfront lounge for guests to appreciate the sunset. Free private parking is available at a site nearby. Mango house had a gorgeous garden! The place is quiet and located right next to the river. Rooms were clean and staff were super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Rooms have a balcony with lake views. Owners of the homestay were very nice. The man speaks english and does most of the communication through whatsapp, which is very helpful. He responded very quickly to our requests and questions. We also booked a boat tour this way. The accommodation is very nice and clean and if you would like to eat at the homestay in the evening (besides breakfast), the wife will cook for you. The food is also good!! One thing to mention is that the homestay is not located at the location on booking.com, but they will pick you up at the busstation if you ask and drop you at the accommodation. To get around the city (which is about 20 minutes away) you can borrow the motorbikes that they have. If you’re not confident driving yourself, they’ll take you on the back. That’s what we did. The main road to the city is not really walkable so the bikes are a necessity. Overall we would really recommend this homestay if you like to have some chill and quiet time in a more remote area.

Very comfortable 3 nights in a modern, well equipped centrally located hotel. Excellent location. Very spacious rooms.

Surrounded by lots of greenery, it’s just right if you want to spend some time outside of busy city. The host is very kind and helpful, you will feel here like at home! Comfortable bed, cozy rooms. That’s all you need for a great holiday! Can truly recommend it!

VinaEcolife Lodge is set in Ba Tri and features a garden and a restaurant. Featuring free bikes, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. We really enjoyed our stay at Vina Ecolife, but there are a couple of things future travelers should know. First, the hotel is located in Phu Le village, in Ben Tre Province, not Ben Tre City. Booking.com wasn’t clear about this — it’s about an hour’s drive from the city, so just be aware of the location if you’re planning your trip. That said, the village itself is peaceful and charming and fun to cycle around with the free bikes the hotel provides. We had a fantastic meal at a local restaurant nearby (Tien Oc Hoi Xua), and the setting is ideal if you’re looking to experience authentic rural life in the Mekong Delta. The real highlight was the staff — incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Huan, who went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. She arranged transport, organised a brilliant tour to a Homestay on an island where we were warmly welcomed by the host family. We cut and drank fresh coconuts, cycled around the island, relaxed in hammocks with a cold beer, and enjoyed a sunset boat ride. She also took us to a nearby village to meet locals making bamboo baskets, and we shared green tea with them — a truly special experience. Breakfast at the hotel was also great, with tasty local options. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t quite powerful enough for the room, so it stayed a bit too warm, and there was no fridge, which would have been handy. Overall, Vina Ecolife is a perfect spot if you’re looking to get off the beaten track and experience the local hospitality.
