We stayed here on the 30th of June as a stopover on our road trip to Lake Garda, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better choice. We picked it based on the beautiful photos and glowing reviews—and it still managed to exceed our expectations. If anything, it’s even better in real life. The house is just lovely—full of charm, tastefully decorated with original features, and so much character. From the moment we booked, Allison and Ian were in touch, checking in about our arrival time and making sure everything was smooth. They’re such genuinely warm and welcoming people—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. When we arrived, we were shown around the house and the stunning, well-kept garden and pool area. There’s even a lovely guest living room where you can relax, which adds to the homely feel. Our room was spotless, cosy, and had gorgeous views of the mountains and church. Every little detail had clearly been thought through with care. Allison even offered to pop a pizza in the oven for us when we mentioned we were tired from the drive and unsure whether to go out again—that kind of thoughtful gesture really stood out. In the end, we did go out to the nearby lake restaurant they recommended, which was great, but the offer meant a lot. And then there was breakfast… Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread and croissants was just incredible. It was easily the best breakfast of our trip—generous and delicious. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already talking about when we might come back. It’s a truly special place with really special hosts. Couldn’t recommend it more.

I have booked this hotel a few months in advance because I wanted a hotel with SPA and close to the lake. 🤩🏞 Location 📍: The hotel is very well placed at the shores of Gerardmer Lake. It is easy to find on the way, it is very well placed, at a walking distance from shops, restaurants, and other interest points. Facilities 🛏 : The hotel offers nice cozy rooms with or without view to the lake. I have chosen a room with a stunning view to the lake and mountains 🏞. In the room you have a small fridge, a kettle, shower, toilet, and balcony. In the hallways, you will find water dispensers. The hotel has a private parking space 🚘 and a heated pool. You will receive a nice card holder with the access card for the room, the password for the internet, and the code to enter the building after 23:00. Extra services🪔: the hotel offers SPA services (sauna, hamam, jacuzzi🛁) for an extra charge and with reservation🕔. They also offer massage 👐 or beauty services through an external provider. You can also choose to take breakfast 🥞🥖🥚🍶☕️there for an extra charge. Every service that you opt for will be paid at the end of your stay. 👍👏 You can also choose to have dinner at their restaurant Cote Lac, whose menu📋 you will find in your room. The staff 👧: I have found the staff very respectful, helpful, welcoming, and ready to help with any information. Fantastic hotel. Very convenient for sports lovers ... We were on bikes....but also for hikers and skiing in the winter. Staff were very accommodating. Rooms were clean and in good repair. Dinner in the restaurant included the option of a buffet bbq which was excellent. Parking lot was well maintained and secure. Pool and wellness area was great and well maintained, though the entry could do with a significantly better design. Overall great hotel and value.
