Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

Great accommodation in Tissa! The rooms are spacious and clean, and have a balcony with a beautiful view to rice fields. The pool is really nice. Great value for money. The owners helped organize the full day safari. Really great tour (we saw 2 leopards) with a guide that doesn’t follow the crowds and truly explores the park. The location is not super close to centre but they have bicycles we can use (just a 20min bike ride)

A wonderful place in the middle of nature. Access by car is difficult, but totally worth it. It was nice that a bigger Safari car was organized to meet us on the way. The manager (Gamini) is very accommodating and super friendly. We stayed Deluxe Bungalow - An incredibly specious villa. The whole area is very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. The property even has its own observation tower where you can enjoy the sunset in the evening and the sunrise in the morning. The food was delicious and wonderful. The BBQ bonfire dinner was very special and memorable. A perfect place to stay if you want to go on a Yala Safari. Safari offered by the hotel is a bit expensive, so consider different options if possible. All in all.. A nice place to stay in Sri Lanka for sure. Wow! This was our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka by far. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, with spacious rooms and a beautiful swimming pool. Lots of thought and design has gone into the property. In addition, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food was great! I cannot fault this hotel, and would recommend it to all my family and friends, will definitely be planning a trip back. The hotel also organised the full day safari for us (we are a couple) which was 54,000 rupees for the both of us, including packed breakfast and a rice and curry lunch. This is a very good price compared to what other travellers paid that we met and went through other tour operators. The driver was our guide and had 18 years experience and we thought he was excellent. We were lucky enough to see 5 leopards (including mother and baby!), many elephants, water buffalo, mongoose, hornbill, kingfisher, spotted deer, sloth bear, monitor lizards, wild boar, lots of peacocks, painted stork, jackal and crocodiles! It was definitely a highlight of our trip ⭐️ 😃

The coconut gardens is an oasis that is located close to the Yala National Park. It is beautiful, clean, with super friendly and helpful staff. Especially our man Soro. They also handled the safari, which was great - they have best guide and driver (we saw 4 leopards)

Our room has a balcony facing the River, where we saw a lot of different colourful birds. It was also very private. The sitting area was very spacious and we can watch the River slowly flowing by. Very relaxing. The balcony also is in the shade all day long, so with a gentle breeze, it was very comfortable to sit outside and chill. At night time, mosquito coils were lit to ward off the pesky mosquitoes, but having repellants would provide more protection. The room itself was adequate for our needs. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning very powerful. The family and their assistant was the star of the show. They were always ready to cater to our reasonable requests, ie mugs, kettle, adapter etc etc. Although the fine print on the description did not list kettle or hairdryer, they promptly provided these at no extra charge. Only soap was provided, so if you are staying longer, bring your own toiletries. Food … glorious food. We had our breakfasts and most dinners at the Inn, and I agree with the other guests who wrote about their dishes. They were super delicious. We chose Sri Lankan breakfasts x 3 mornings, everyday was a bit different, and they were all very good.. Dinner was either rice and curry, chicken soup or fried rice/noodles plus banana fritters with treacle. All were delicious and fair price. The garden was very well maintained with lots of interesting plants and fruit trees. There were multiple seating areas spread throughout the property, to enjoy the River view and the garden. Walk to town was also not too bad. 20 minutes or so leisurely walking will take you to town, where you can find 2 supermarkets, bakery and eateries.
