The overall setting of the rooms were great. AC worked fine which is super important in humid climate. The rooms had distinct fragrance of euclyptus. I thought that was a good touch. Hot water also worked fine. Highly recommend.

Set in a residential area, next to Costa Rica Country Club, Apartotel & Suites Villas del Rio features 2 outdoor pools, a hot tub and gym. A free airport shuttle service is offered. Unser Apartment war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück war für uns sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten auch eine Bitte, die das Hotel auch netterweise erfüllt hat. Vor dem Hotel kann man ein Bus nehmen (wir mussten nie länger als 10 Minuten warten) der uns bis zur Innenstadt von San José gefahren hat (Endstation). Den Bus kann man einfach mit der Kreditkarte zahlen. Sollten wir nochmal nach San José übernachten, werden wir wieder hier bleiben. Auch die Lage war sicher.
