I was impressed that the hotel uses Clarins products in the rooms — the shampoo and conditioner were excellent. The water pressure was incredible, I’ve never experienced anything like it. I really enjoyed the shower, although some water leaked out under the walls, but that’s more of a problem for housekeeping. There was also a washing machine in the room.

It turned out to be a sprawling 4 star property with pool, fitness centre and spa. Although we did not have the opportunity to try the amenities especially travelling during winter, we did try a variety of food from their in house restaurant and it was really tasty and portioned well. The rooms were spotless and really spacious. The reception staff were really helpful as well, coming through with a last minute cab booking at a mere 30 minutes notice in the early hours of the morning, saving us the hassle of figuring out how to reach the bus station with little time in our hands. Overall, a perfect stay.
