Het ANDO HOTEL NARA Wakakusayama ligt bovenop een heuvel met uitzicht op de stad Nara, op slechts 15 minuten met de pendeldienst van het JR-station Nara. The room itself was gorgeous with the panoramic view. The staff was very nice and the meals were great (although breakfast was challenging for us and our western pallet). Dinner was spectacular.

Their professionalism and friendliness truly stood out, and we cannot praise them highly enough. Additionally, the bell service team, especially the three gentlemen from Nepal, were nothing short of outstanding. They exemplify what it means to deliver world-class hospitality. Their kindness, efficiency, and readiness to assist made us feel genuinely cared for. In fact, their impeccable service often compensated for areas where the front office fell short. Several fellow guests we spoke to while waiting for the shuttle bus also shared similar high praise for these individuals. They are truly the business card of this hotel and embody the very best of the JW Marriott brand.

Super big rooms (all the premises, actually) with one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in Japan, everything is spotlessly clean, the public bath is beautiful, the staff lovely, and there's a free shuttle bus to both JR and Kintetsu Nara stations. And all of this princess treatment for an unbelievably low price.

Nara Plaza Hotel ligt op 11 km van station Nara en 24 km van Iwafune Shrine, en is voorzien van kamers in Tenri. Dit hotel met 3 sterren biedt een 24-uursreceptie en een gratis shuttleservice. Breakfast was including in our meal the food was amazing, had most things and so fresh! We loved all the facilities onsens, indoor pools and communal facilities. Would recommend it to anyone with children/families wanting to stay somewhere with pools and onsens. The staff at the facility were great and hopeful when ever we had any enquires.
