The Hotel is managed by Mary, a wonderful Person who assisted us in all belongings. She was se to manage the payment of the hotel with a very Creative Idea, as the standard Credit Card payment doesn‘t worked. Very cool hotel, recommend to visit!!! Unreal beautiful lobby, pleasing to the eye. The standard room with mountain view inspires with its authenticity. The hotel is designer! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Even the handles on the doors! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I left my bag in the lobby, they realized it was me and gave it back to me) Breakfast is the usual, as in many Argentinian hotels. Also, we ordered dinner at the hotel restaurant, the chef is awesome! Very tasty restaurant! If you eat the restaurant, definitely try the ravioli! I highly recommend this hotel

Perito Marino glacier is a fantastic place to visit while in El Calafate. Many great cafes and restaurants - Covina, and the Calafate Coffee Roadters are standouts. East to get to El Chalten from here to see Mount FitzRoy. Bird sanctuary in El Calafate is lovely place to visit for a few hours - lots of birds. The museum near the bird sanctuary is also. Wry good with lots of ethnology information and dinosaur stuff too

Nice town. Good food options. I think my only critique is there was no good tee shirts and sweatshirts for area people could by as souvenirs. Yes, there were a few...but you could sale a butch if the design and comfort of the gear was good. Shirt's fit were off and really no sweatshirts. Americans eat that stuff up.

Yo can stay there 3 or 4 days, not more. Is a beautiful place but not to stay more tan 4 days. People is very kind. You can find things to buy that you can't find even in bigger citties. Food is excelent.

I did 2 glacier tours, and one day took the bus to el chalten. The town itself is very charming, and one early morning when I was looking for a pharmacy, I had an escort of 4-8 local stray (and very friendly) dogs.

We stayed in El Chalten for four nights.

We stayed in El Chalten for four nights. We will stay longer next time. The Laguna De los Tres hike was marvelous and strenuous . We needed a day to rest. I'd stay two more nights to allow for rests between hikes. (we are 57 and active but back to back nine hour hikes was hard)

We stayed two nights in El Calafate, visited Mereno Glacier national park for a day, another day, relaxed in the city. we really enjoyed walking along the Argentina river walkway, also visited nature conservancy, there are so many waterfowls in the lake (river), first time saw black neck swan, I wished I brought binocular with me to enjoy the bird watching. It supposes to have Grebe's and Flamingos, dozens of species. the first week of April, all the tall trees leave in the city are changing to golden yellow Fall color, with Spanish style houses, it is really a pretty and warm town. with delicious food and drinks. Really enjoyed

The great part is that you can walk out of the town and you are on a trail. The scenery is stunning! The fees for the Park, as they are right now are very pricey. Restaurants, supermarkets and any kind of services are way high, for what they offer!
