This hut is privately run by a family from Nepal. Our stay there felt so very peaceful, and the food was lovely. The location is absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed being there. We hiked down to Hallstatt from there, and the trail was very well maintained and offered amazing views.

The place is both picturesque and beautiful, surrounded by nature. The rooms were big, the interior of the hotel was like one out of a Christmas card, very warm and comforting. We were very pleasantly surprised how great everything was. The food was also very tasty.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an amazing experience. The location was perfect for me, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view from the balcony. It was lovely to sit out and take in the sights and sounds of the area. The staff at the hotel were also incredibly helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed. In fact, they were especially helpful in helping me find the bus to leave. I was impressed with their knowledge of the area and their willingness to assist me. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was unbeatable, the room was spacious and comfortable with a great view, and the staff were incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay. location very good! Very nearby CK shuttle stop and pier（1 mins to go)

I absolutely adored this hotel!!! Honestly! I loved everything about this place. First of all, the hotel itself was so beautiful, it's located in the green area, beautiful green trees, lake, ducks, pool and activities: table tennis, badminton. We loved walking in the area. It was charming! Breakfast was perfect! Truly! Staff was amazing - very attentive and kind! Especially Marina was so kind. We felt at home. We promised to come back soon and we'll definitely book this hotel again.

Heritage hotel with wooden decor, rooms interiors. breakfast, location, heating availability even in September. Being old and rains , we felt cold but the heater worked. Many hotels heating is not operational till temperatures go very low. Excellent view, lake facing rooms and amazing elevator.

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days.

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days. The lake is wonderful to go boating on. Hopefully the cable car up to the top of the hill is working soon. The hike is suitable for young adults and up to fit 70 year olds. The food eatery are lovely but check out the ones behind the main street.

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to...

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to Obertraun in order to visit Hallstat. Unfortunately, the transportation wasn't very convenient for us. One of the trains that we had arranged was late and we had to wait two more hours in order to get the last train to Obertraun. We departed from Vienna at 8:00 and we arrived to Obertraun at 15:30! Obertraun was very close to Hallstat. Hallstat is a magical place but next time I would prefer to visit it by car.

Mesmerizing views all around and one can spend quality time over here. Very well connected with public transport and can move easily to any tourist attractions. Surrounded by natural beauty, away from tourist crowd and very scenic.

Perfect location, very easy to find , countless free parking spaces. Immaculate. Very good restaurant. Highly recommended for couples. The only drawback is confirmation of reservation needed by verifying your credit card.

Excellent for bigger group (we were 5 parents and 8 juniors - schoolmates). Spacious, well equiped kitchen, living/dining room as a meeting place.... Nice place with lookout to Loser. The only thing we would do differently while building the cottage - the upper bathroom might had been divided into two part - one for shower and the other one for WC, there is enought space for that. But, thanks to the other bathroom on 1st floor.... We would definitely recommend....

I thing 2 days is ok if you stay only in Hallstatt however...

I thing 2 days is ok if you stay only in Hallstatt however you can consider one extra day for Obertraun for 5 Fingers and ice/mammut cave. Hallstatt is a beautiful city however not to much to do around considering the salt mine is clouse. Bout ride is good for amaizing foto of town.

Stay in beautiful Obertraun instead of the overpriced and crowded Hallstatt! We stayed 3 nights in a lovely accommodation Haus Edelweiss, and following the recommendations of lovely host Nina, we spent one day walking from Obertruan to Hallstatt. Along the way, we saw this stone path going up the hill and we went up (very do-able hike), and it led to a very beautiful view of Hallstatt! We then went down the other way and continued walking towards Hallstatt, explored the beautiful village and took the ferry (Euro 12/pax) back to Obertruan. Next day, we walked a loop from Obertruan to Koppenwinlsee. The walk was very lovely and we saw tiny red strawberries everywhere! There was a restaurant after Koppenwinslee but I think it was closed on Mon-Wed (please check), and other days open for lunch & dinner, so time yourself to make it in time for lunch/dinner. We were stopping so often to admire the scenery that we missed their lunch time! It is better to visit during non-summer to enjoy Austria.

The accommodation had great view and the balcony was so Cousy, I could sit whole evening there to spend some quality time. The location is beautiful and relaxing. My kids enjoyed lot. Special thanks to providing such a variety of toys and activity stuff for kids, they really got occupied with activities while at apartment.

We had a surprise that the funicular shut down the day we arrived. We didn't make it up the mountain for the attractions we planned to see. The Visitors bureau were not that helpful. They were very vague and we felt like we had to figure things out on our own. Kind of strange. We made the most of it and settled in for a couple days, strolling the lake road and stopping at different lakefront restaurants and cafe's
