Das Mondsee is located within a short walking distance from the downtown shops and restaurants of Mondsee. There’s a very beautiful patio outside where you can relax. A river runs by which provides for a soothing sound. Rooms were impeccable maintained. Very clean. High quality furnishings. Beautiful bathroom. Comfortable bedding. Good WiFi reception. Easy check in albeit not in person. Online checkin prior to arrival is required. There is no lobby but customer service replies reasonably quick through WhatsApp. There is a community room where you can work or prepare something small. Well outfitted with dishes, glasses and cutlery. If you arrive late, there is a vending machine that stocks the basics as well. If I would return to Mondsee I would stay here again. Recommended.

This hotel is amazing! Perfection in every detail! Everything from the design and furniture to the bed linen, the softest pillows and the spa-shower in the room exceeds expectations! Breakfast was great! The hotel restaurant is Michelin rated and there is also a very nice bar. The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. I travel a lot and never wrote a review about any place I visited. This place however was so amazing that I had to chime in. The staff was so friendly, the hotel and restaurant are both great and sauna is the cherry on top! The place is on top of a hill from which you can access different hiking trails! It is really beautiful!!!

Very nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The room smelled great, and if you notice a room smells good, it really does smell good. I was quite surprised of the very modern and clean spa area with pool, sauna and fitness room. Also the restaurant served very good food. Overall I can just really recommend this hotel!

Wonderful hotel, spacious room, great breakfast, nice staff, everything was just fantastic. We arrived later, after the reception was closed so the hotel sent me instructions for contactless check-in by SMS and everything was clear and the check-in was smooth.

Swimming out to the open part of the swimming pool great pleasure. Lot of deck chairs and places to rest inside spa. The reception provides you with bathrobe and towels. Breakfast good. Nice bar. Also cigar lounge available. Safe parking in garage on site, 5 euro fee reasonable. The whole staff kind and helpful.

Loved staff, location, breakfast and rooms looked quite new. Shower was great and bed comfy and pillows very small but they did have a larger one as well. Staff all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and eggs cooked while you waited. The view from this hotel was stunning. The restaurant has inside and outside area and it was lovely. Nothing I didn’t disliked. Parking for free onsite an added bonus if you have a car.

Private hut down by the lakeside with changing rooms and lockers for your use to leave your stuff. Excellent breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and bacon if you wish. The staff were super helpful and friendly (they even helped us find some clothes we forgot and sent it to our next hotel!). The hotel has gorgeous views over the countryside and the food is really fresh and locally grown. The Spa was great to relax in and stayed open until 9pm. They also provided a garage space for us to park our bikes, which was really handy for the Danube River Way.

A great breakfast, nice location. There is a camp between the lakeshore and hotel what spolis the view a bit, but campers are not noisy. We were there in a extremely rainy and cold July, and the hotel switched on the central heating, what make our stay really pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is merely a city for business trips or when you want to visit special events. The city and shopping opportunities are rather limited. We spent a few hours here, travelling through, but we didn't feel that we missed anything when quickly checking out the city.

Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.

From my point of view typical spa town, clean and quiet. Nice park for a walk. Limited choice of restaurants except in hotels. I recommend visit Mostheuriger Am Hochfeld. There is possible to taste same regional food and drinks. There is nice view towards Salzkammergut. Close to other interesting places, e.g. Schlogenerblick, Gmunden, atc.

The nature is beautiful around Seewalchen, many lakes, mountains, interesting paths. We had rainy days, but you can still visit nearby Salcburg or Hallein salt mine which I recommend very much (so much fun and so well put together).

We knew nothing about Austria.

We knew nothing about Austria. I was trying to find a nice room with Kitchenette at a good price. I was trying to find a place close to Hallstatt and Salzburg. This was as close as I could get. Each day we drove at least an hour away from Wels to go to the things we chose to visit. Wels seemed like a business area. It was close to the highway.

Mondsee is a very beautiful town. It’s located by a lake and offers stunning views. The town’s church is gorgeous. I had the best meat I’ve ever eaten in my life there. If you have the chance, don’t miss visiting Restaurant Tauris Steaks & More.

Wels is a very calm and quiet place to enjoy a good relaxed holidays. It has everything within a short distance, The Train station is connecting to all locations and is very helpful. Shopping and eat outs places are also available. The beauty of Wels is the less traffic and calm location. It is very safe and clean city.
