Great hotel, everything is so nice and well though-through. Everything is brand new, it is modern but very cosy and traditional at the same time. I stayed in the suite which was a very big room. There are also 3 restaurants in the hotel, tried the Austrian and Japanese ones and they were very good. Breakfast is excellent, many options and good quality of food. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The owner’s personal touch was evident in every detail — from the beautifully maintained property to the thoughtful amenities that made our stay so comfortable. Whether it was offering local tips, accommodating special requests, or simply checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, their service was consistently above and beyond. On site ski school for small kids is a game changer and the ski instructors are so attentive. Abundance of activities and facilities for children. A Fantastic Family Ski Holiday at Places by Obertauern! Our recent stay at Places by Obertauern was nothing short of wonderful. This hotel truly caters to all ages and preferences, making it the perfect choice for a family ski holiday. Our son was thrilled with the games room and the PS5s, while our daughter loved relaxing in the cinema with its nightly movie screenings. The top-floor games room, conveniently located next to the rooftop bar, was a hit with the whole family. The DJ on some evenings added a special touch, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. We also loved sitting outside the rooftop bar under the patio heaters, watching the piste bashers prepare the slopes for the next day – a truly unique experience! The buffet offered a fantastic selection of delicious food, catering to all tastes. A special shout-out must go to Martha in the restaurant. Her hard work and dedication to ensuring our comfort made our stay extra special. We were also incredibly impressed with her extensive wine knowledge and excellent recommendations. She truly elevated our dining experience. The location of Places by Obertauern is ideal for skiing. The slope just a 5-minute walk away provided easy access to the nearest lift after a short ski down. While this particular lift might not be ideal for complete beginners, it suited our family perfectly. Nadia in the ski section was incredibly helpful and made booking lessons a breeze. The hotel reception staff were also excellent. They efficiently handled our lift pass purchases and were incredibly accommodating when we requested a last-minute late checkout. They understood our desire to take advantage of the perfect snow conditions for a final two hours on the slopes before our flight and even arranged our additional lift passes. Their flexibility was much appreciated. Finally, the ski hire shop on the ground floor was incredibly convenient.

Amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, simple but very comfortable. Food is great, a lot of different varieties. Location is top notch, right on the Gamsleiten ski slope. They also offer a Finnish sauna. It can get a little crowded, but it gets the job done and is amazing after a hard skiing day. Great value for money !

Such an incredible property. Loved the pool area, the saunas and private area - everything about the hotel makes you want to stay there. Heaven in the mountains. The only downside is that it is next to a road, but I guess it's a great upside if you come without a car. If you get a chance - book for at least two nights.

We were on our road back home and decided to do sleepover, this hotel exceeded our expectation. Location was great in mountains, everything perfectly clean and staff very friendly. In the end we regretted that it was only one night but we will definitely come back. Extra plus for dogs being allowed in breakfast room!

We had a very pleasant stay. Cozy rooms with a beautiful view of the mountains. Very clean. Peace and quiet, you can relax after a day on the slopes. Breakfast very good. Lady owner very nice and helpful. For us it was important that the hotel is relatively close to Obertauern. I recommend !

Our 3 time staying at this hotel, it gets better every time we go, the new spa area is stunning. Staff, food, hotel and position to the slopes are excellent. We keep going elsewhere to try but always come back to the Romerhof as it cannot be beaten
