Götzis is located just in the middle of Vorarlberg - very easy to get everywhere you need. And the city center provides you with all you need in your daily life as well as on weekends - shops, bars, restaurants, library and many more. We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025. It was a coincidence that the Hafen Fest was on those days, and I cannot judge what is Bregenz usually like. For us there were too many people on the lake shore... but I know some people love this. The best places for me, must-sees: 1. Pfänderbahn (in good weather) 2. It is a beautiful town with many things to see and places to eat. Our Highlight was the Opera on the lake which was amazing. I am 79 years old and my grand daughter is 14 years. I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit,...
I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit, other than that it was the westernmost train station in Austria I could travel to in order to get to Liechtenstein. Feldkirch has inventive and unique tourist brochures which really enhanced my stay and let me learn a lot about the city. The old town is very charming with a laid-back vibe (walkable from the train station), the hillside houses are very picturesque, and I enjoyed this city way more than I was expecting. I am glad I stayed overnight in Feldkirch to facilitate my trip to Liechtenstein.
