Owner and staff hospitality. Room was specious, modern, and very clean. The view from the terrace was magnificent (we reserved a room with the castle view, but honestly the valley is beautiful so the view from other rooms would not be disappointing). Breakfast was great. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. What else can you ask for? In addition, the location is perfect for visiting Eisriesenwelt cave. We reserved tickets for the first group of the day, so the hike up was cool and refreshing, the cave was not crowded (yet), and we were even allowed to take pictures inside the cave :) Originally we booked one night, but we ended up staying 2 nights. We really liked the place!

The property and views are stunning. Our room was so cute and the pictures do not do it justice! Large room with beautiful windows that open, lovely restaurant and the grounds are wonderful for taking walks. Just below the property (about a 12 minute walk down the hill) is a little restaurant that had delicious soup and yummy coffee and croissants. A field next to it was filled with sheep and horses and a friendly cat. Breakfast was out of this world…The whole trip was magical for my daughter and I!

Pleasant, knowledgeable staff, wonderful breakfast, comfortable room with private bath, idyllic country views, several types of sauna and an outdoor pool included in the fee, e-bikes available for rent-- all added up to a top notch experience. I e-biked to a lake and explored the surrounding area on 1 day, and e-biked to Salzburg on a different day. There's a conveniently located bus stop for a bus every 30 min (except Sun) if you prefer public transportation. I found the public bus was similar quality to a US excursion bus and safe late at night. There's a free app that is worth downloading.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel with a room for 5 people that fit perfectly. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the clock tower. The hotel's strategic location is great for those with a car, situated between Salsberg and the Cunningsburg Area. The on-site restaurant offers excellent dinner options. Additionally, the cable car to the mountain is conveniently just a minute away. The hotel staff was very pleasant throughout our stay.

Our room offered magnificent mountain views that made every day special. We especially enjoyed the spa, with the saunas area standing out as wonderfully tranquil and relaxing. The hotel’s location was perfect, just a short walk to the mountain lifts and very close to numerous hiking trails, which made exploring the outdoors effortless. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plenty of quality food, for all taste. The staff was extremely polite, always asking if everything was ok, trying to satisfy all your needs. Dinner was also outstanding food quality and presentation, with discrete fine-dinning touches. Congrats to the chef! The reception staff was also very friendly, giving us all the necessary information we needed for ours stay and they were extremely efficient on the last morning when we did the check-out. As an improvement, maybe the receptionist should state it more clearly how to get to the hotel ski room without using the main entrance in the hotel. We had to figure this out by ourselves following other tourists in the hotel, but it was fun for us to find this trick that we will use next time :)

We stayed in a family suite which was clean, modern, great size room (given we had 2 children too) and very much to our taste. The food varied every night and replenished quickly. The facilities for Children are fantastic and even after hours of skiing all they wanted to do was play in the football area, ball pit or indoor play. Outdoor pool temperature was a great surprise, VERY warm and just what we needed after a days skiing. Ski room with dedicated locker to leave all the gear. Staff were friendly and approachable throughout our stay.

It is a beautiful hotel, plenty of indoor and outdoor pools, very good restaurant and the rooms are big and comfortable. The staff is very kind. We stay there for a week with two babies and the staff was very generous, thoughtful and accepting. My wife tried the spa, full-body massage, and said it was great also. There is a free parking near the entrance and we found a place to park everyday.

Salzburg is an extremely beautiful city.

Salzburg is an extremely beautiful city. It has a beautiful old center under the protection of UNESCO, starting with the Mirabel castle and park, the birthplace of Mozart, the old town center which is riddled with narrow streets, a castle on a hill, a beautiful promenade by the river. The air is so clean that we breathed and used every moment to absorb the beauty of the city. We also visited Holburne Palace, which is outside the city. In many places in the city, stands are set up and decorated for Christmas and New Year. We also visited the famous beer hall within the monastery and drank phenomenal beer. The locals are very friendly and ready to help. We are enchanted by Salzburg and recommend everyone to visit it.

I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer...

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare. Don't expect modern but this adds to the charm of the place. Property was well equipped with everything that we needed. Easy parking and access to the building. All conveniences close by or a short drive away. Stunning views from the balcony and all round great place to stay.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

Walk around the Bürglstein is very nice and calming. City itself is much calmer than the other ones (St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang), but still there is everything what would you need, water fun, grocery store, ice cream stand.

The people are so freindly and helpful.

The people are so freindly and helpful. Tour the fortress and cemetary, eat in the square - great austrian and other food. Take in a Mozart string quartet concert at the fortress. The views day and night are incredible. Do the salt mine tour.
