- From US$170 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 414 reviewsWe had awesome time at Daintree Manor. We stayed three nights and it was not enough, we wish we stayed 5. We loved the actual Manor, built from beautiful timber with stunning timber floors throughout, our luxury room had beautiful furniture and a gorgeous panel on the wall. The bed was super comfy with nice linen. The house is off the grid relying on solar power and rain water but all the comforts are provided to have a great rest and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding stunning gardens inhabited by birds, butterflies and wildlife. The gardens and the views from the balcony are breathtaking and you always see different birds, butterflies and dragonflies depending on the time of the day. Our hosts Charmaine and Robbie are super hosts, ensuring you are treated like gold and well looked after. They serve a healthy cooked breakfast every morning which is served on the balcony with best views to the rainforest and gardens. Freshly brewed Lavazza coffee and 15 different teas are available at all times. They bring boiled water from their stove. Everything we experienced at the Daintree Manor is ecologically friendly. Most enjoyable of all was the company of our hosts who have lived there for a long time and both are very knowledgeable of the rainforest, the wildlife and how to behave if you encounter it. They made our stay unforgettable and we are so grateful for the shared knowledge and experiences. If you want to go back to nature and find the Paradise Lost head to Daintree Manor and experience the True one.Guest review byPeterAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 73 reviewsWe were looking for our first stress-free rainforest experience when we found Wildwood. A wonderfully furnished cabin in the middle of jungle was just what we had in our mind. We did our grocery shopping in Cairns before we arrived in cape Tribulation, as timely advised by our host Sheree. The cabin had all the essentials we needed during our stay. Few cafes and ocean Safari tours office are around the corner (15 min walk). We enjoyed exploring the inhouse fruit orchard (thanks Jason for showing us around) and tasting few of them. We did the ocean Safari reef snorkeling tour. Highly recommended! We also just took time off doing board walks and the jungle walk which starts right behind the cabin is the best of them all. It is not boarded though but gives a nice jungle feeling. The nights were also uniquely amazing, sleeping to the rain and jungle noises. All in all, highly recommended. Will do it again if we happen to be around.Guest review byVenkata Yashwanth KumarGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 67 reviewsThe property was much better than it seemed through the photos. It was cosy and clean, with two fans in our twin room that were individually controlled. The room had a bar fridge, cups, and coffee and tea provided. The property also has a short trail system that residents can use, and said to have regular visits from cassowaries and Musk rat kangaroos. There is also a roost for the Spectacled Flying foxes on site. As a bird watcher it was nice to see a few species of doves roosting in the trees around the property. The owners were really friendly and nice when it comes to recommendations and maintaining the property! Though it should be noted that there is limited reception on site for optus, and no reception on telstra network.Guest review byYING XIN ELIZESingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 312 reviewsMatt is a wonderful host and really takes care of his guests and makes you feel at home. The property is beautiful with lots of nature to explore and has some of the best views you can find anywhere. The room and outdoor communal space were both very comfortable and it’s a good place to get to know other guests. The location is right next to the discovery center, several hikes and the ice cream place so it’s quite central. Breakfast was a huge plate of exotic fruits and toast with all the fixins - sooo delicious.Guest review byOrianaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 704 reviewsThis place is idealic if the idea of being genuinely 'in' the rainforest appeals, you leave your lodge and walk through the leaves and the first to get to the outdoor reception and reception area. The air con in our room was amazing, brand new updated units! The staff were lovely and the access to the experience of the rainforest was so easy, we'd definitely come back. Thanks to Steph and her team! :)Guest review byDominic ColemanUnited Kingdom

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place.
Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place. You can walk along the long, beautiful beach with the ocean on one side and tropical rainforest on the other. When you walk back into the rainforest you are on a boardwalk which takes you through huge mangroves then through the tropical rainforest with a stunning variety of rainforest trees and other plants. You see lots of butterflies as well as birds, goannas and fruit bats. It is a place that fills you with awe.Guest review bySylviaAustralia - 10.0
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation.
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. We did indigenous tour at Mossman gorge which was great. Beautiful tropical trees and fauna. Fresh healthy air. You must do it!Guest review byMichymoo2706Australia - 10.0
Beautiful location, stunning views.
Beautiful location, stunning views. We stayed in large spacious house close to the beach. We took all of our own food as there were excellent kitchen facilities. The beach is stunning. The Daintree area has lots to offer.Guest review byJody - 10.0

We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10.0

I loved how it was close to the beach and very quiet and peaceful. With a little driving most attractions were close by or within half hour. Spending time in the Daintree was spectacular and I found most of the visitors were respectful of the tranquillity. Half an hour to Port Douglas for shopping or spending the day driving up to Cape Tribulation, river cruise, all great adventures.Guest review byKim - 10.0

Diwan is a one of the oldest parts of the Daintree Rainforest. Just beautiful !!! You need to catch the ferry over the river to get to the northern side to access this location. Need to be aware the cost to catch the ferry back and forth. Many things to do and see on the north side of the river to keep amused.Guest review byJustinAustralia - 10.0
A very unique cottage stay.
A very unique cottage stay. Private water-hole Creek for swimming. Crystal clear water. A wonderful place to escape for peace & quiet in a tranquil setting! Amos was a thoughtful and accommodating host! Fruit trees a plenty which, if in abundant and ready for harvest, you may be offered to help yourself to some fruit.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions.
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions. Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Getting away from it all includes not a whole lot of phone reception, so take a printed map. Limited groceries available so if you are self catering best to shop beforehand in Cairns or Mossman.Guest review byChristineNew Zealand - 10.0

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurantGuest review byDebraAustralia - 10.0
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia
