I arrived pretty late 10pm and I was supposed to check in by 1800 hour, with a simple phone call all I need and also an easy check out. Thank you Don. It was awesome. We stayed only for 1 night, but the location was good for tours in the Grampions, the accomodation offered all we need as a Family of 5. And the best of all are the very friendly owners who run the Holiday Park and all the animals they have. A real wildlife of emus, kangaroos, alpakas, cows, chicken, ducks, turkeys, goats, sheep an a peacock family. And our children can help to feed the animals in the morning .
It was a fantastic stay.

Cottages are in a wonderful wild nature, among kangaroos and cacatoes and rabbits... in front of your windows ! Houses are made with old recycling materials and are very nice. All you need to stay with your family is there. Stay few days, you will be able to enjoy the paths in the Grampians park, Halls Gap, water falls, wineries... !

We had everything we needed after a long day on the road: a comfy bed, a powerful hot shower, a silently working AC and additionally a fully equipped kitchen which we used for cooking. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Visiting kangaroos and cockatoos a nice add on.

The chalet was spotless. The massage chair was a great added extra and the bed was very comfortable.
The wildlife wandering through the property was brilliant, ducks with their ducklings, kangaroos and even a deer.
We will come back.

Great location just a short walk from the main strip in Halls Gap. Peaceful and quiet at night. Really welcoming hosts and cozy cabins. Perfect if you want to relax or if you want a jumping off point for the Grampians

Location is amazing. 15/20 min walk from town (only 3 by car), but in the middle of all the mountains and every night there are so many kangaroos and emu’s. Even saw 2 deer! Clean cabin and very cozy.

We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny and sit in the...
We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny and sit in the sun and eat one of the ice-creams from the shop by the stream, local cockatoos sit on the grass waiting for a crumb, but recommended for their health. We ate at the local hotel and viewed Kangaroos, Emus and Deer grazing in the adjoining paddocks. Lake Bellfield is a relaxing place to view the water which supplies many Wimmera towns and farms.

Ararat is a good base to use for exploring nearby areas such as the Grampians.It has local attractions as well.Train service to Melbourne is available and coach services from the station to other towns leave from the station too.Nice botanical garden for a walk as well.A visit to the tourist centre would be a worthwile stop for information.

Pomonal is a rather quiet village in the Grampian region and a short drive away from the busy tourist area of Halls Gap. Lots of hiking tracks in close vacinity where we saw wildlife and great landscape views.
We had a one bedroom Villa which was perfectly designed with a great eye to the details for function and decoration! Perfect size for a couple.
The terrace has a gas BBQ which we used a few times while watching the sunset behind the Grampian hills.
Bred, Butter, Jam and a bottle of wine had been provided for us upon arrival. The bred was really great and the wine from their own vinyard was excellent.
The living room has a fireplace which gives a cosy warmth and is nice to look at. We did not miss a thing! A big THANKS to the hosts for making our last 3 days of the holidays such a wonderful experience!

Unit was very clean. First row from the lake, so the view of the lake and mountains was magnificent. Not far from Halls Gap, and other main attractions, Brambuk, McKenzie falls, Grand Canyon walk, Balconies, Boroka, Lake Bellfield, and others.

Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town.
Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town. Unfortunately, the other one was closed for repairs and signage was not used to inform travellers.
So many people, including me would have driven many kms out of their way from either end of the access road to the falls.
Why didn’t the authorities who had approved the repairs to Nigretta Falls consider the impact and waste of fuel for many tourists over the many months this site has been closed?
There are some great bluestone old churches and Victorian style houses with great iron lace work in the township. The Information Centre is stylish and well presented with helpful staff.
