I had the best stay at Abbott Hotel! Lovely and clean rooms in an absolutely perfect location. Super quick walk to everything - restaurants, bars, docks for boat trips, Daintree pick ups, etc. The highlight though was the staff, they were so incredibly kind and friendly. Special shout out to the manager, Peter, for making my time there so memorable. We would chat every time I passed the desk, and it made for such a lovely environment while I was solo traveling. I’m so grateful I chose to stay here and cannot recommend them enough! :)

The room is nice with good taste and everything is of high quality. It is cool to have the parking just outside the room. It's a pity that we just stayed for a night before a tour and didn't have much time to enjoy this beautiful place.

Great shops and selection of good food.

Great shops and selection of good food. Great quality, easy to get around transport always available and reasonably priced. The gallery of modern art GOMA is very good and well worth a visit, as is the Queensland museum. If I had time I would have gone to the guided walking tour at the botanical gardens and visited the planetarium next door for one of the shows.

Beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants, great shopping, and so much to do all within an hour or two. Public transport so easy to navigate or drive yourself on well maintained roads with plenty of signage for the good stuff. Excellent wind down for a stress free holiday, be it long or short. You wont ever want to leave.

Cairns itself has so much to offer!

Cairns itself has so much to offer! Stay at the Harbourside hotel for exceptional service, Bel, Rita and the blonde gentleman on at night were outstanding. Breakfast , cleanliness and comfort + views from balcony in room sensational. This pkace is 5 star in every sense on a 3 star budget price. Train and cable ride a must, ensure you pre book. Fishing charter with Cairns reef fishing Oz , a must do! Katch up restaurant a hidden gem with bloody good food and cocktails . Best op shop was the animal welfare and Maggies. Casino great vibe Pubs- The Cock and Bull, Pier Hotel and Crown for steak. Italian restaurant food and service is Villa Romana.

Seeing Family and friends is always the highlight of our Townsville stay. We were in town to attend a funeral but enjoyed 2 free days either side of that just catching up with family. Particularly enjoyed the Castle Hill goat track walk. Not an easy walk, but you are rewarded with a wonderful view of Magnetic and other surrounding Islands.

We loved the vibe there, we came for the music festival but stayed for 9 days as seemed a shame not to take in some cruises, can recommend the Camira, but make sure you don’t have mobility issues The stunning views over the bay and the Islands are fantastic whatever the weather, the board walk and the esplanade are really lovely. Loved KC’S with live music every night Handy having a woolies, bottle shop and pharmacy right in town We were a bit unprepared for the restaurant and bar prices We had a great couple of nights out on 1 of the islands, definitely would do that again.

We only stayed the night as we were on our way home . We picked up Red Rooster Meal before checking into the Motel , so we didn’t need to leave the motel until next morning. We had our puppies with us , They gave us a room upstairs but it was the last room available but we would have preferred a room ground level to make it easier to walk the dogs .

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.

Noosa Heads is very beautiful.

Noosa Heads is very beautiful. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. Be prepared for crowds; you will find it difficult to get a park anywhere. Be prepared to shell out a bit of money. Noosa Heads is not a budget holiday. The National Forest is spectacular.

Brisbane? Too much to like.

Brisbane? Too much to like. Has the feeling of a small country town, but all the amenities of a thriving city. And, of course, it’s in Queensland!!! where the weather is always warm and the skies are always blue and the sun never stops shining.
