Beautiful guesthouse with everything you need. We are huge coffee drinkers, and they provided both coffee and milk, as well as some water. Location is great with a bus stop right outside the house that leads to all the nice beaches.

wonderful right on the beach - we had an Avalon cabin which was very roomy and perfect for us and our two tall late teen sons.
Bbq area was just nearby, perfect for brekkie.

Great location for a relaxed beach holiday.
Great location for a relaxed beach holiday. Well connected to Sydney Cbd via bus, to Manly and the Ferry to Circular Quay. Taronga Zoo is nearby too. If you have car the national forrests nearby are beautiful to visit.

Liked nothing. You book & pay for a room in advance to find out at 11pm room isn’t safe to sleep in. What do they offer a refund. What are we supposed to do Sleep in car as no other rooms available.

Poor room, should be checked daily for operation of items in house not when someone complains about it, you would have people with more satisfaction. It’s not hard to check a room over prior to reverting it. Fix it up and ask me back again so I can change my review for you.

Enjoyed whale watching from the beach and also our accommodation.
Fabulous cafes and restaurants. Plenty of activities to choose from.

Dee Why is my favorite beach in Australia. Great restaurants with lots of seafood perfectly cooked or prepared. Everything is close and within walking distance. All of the young adults had fun surfing, swimming, sunbathing, and playing games late into the night. It was a perfect location to view the New Years fireworks in the Dee Why harbor.

Church Point is the ferry stop for Scotland Is. at the lower...
Church Point is the ferry stop for Scotland Is. at the lower end of Pittwater. There is parking available but mostly in timed spaces and of course you pay. In holiday season parking is at a premium. As we were staying on Scotland Is overnight, we parked 2 km away near Bayview sailing club in a side street and took the bus into church point (4 mins) to catch the hourly ferry service. Buses every 30 mins. You can get a water taxi to SI from Church Pt for approx $30 (2022)if you don't want to wait for the ferry. There is a general store/cafe at the pier with really nice views which is amazingly busy most of the time. We never ate there because of Covid, crowds and slowish service (lack of staff presumably) but got a takeaway toasted sandwich while we waited on the pier (seats) for the ferry, it took 20mins to be ready (buzzer provided to us). Tasty though. There are some seats/benches in an open area outside the store but these were quite popular. A small beach next to the pier saw children putting their feet in the water. Also the Public Convenience at the Bus stop back to Mona Vale is a bit whiffy and was also whiffy last time we went to CP in 2020. Try to go in off season - very busy in January.

Avalon is a great place to stay.
Avalon is a great place to stay. 100% Austalian beach life and sailing life. Avalon shops have very good food supermarkets, clothes shops, art gallery and heaps cafes and restraunts Avalon is not far from Palm beach one of the better known international surf beachs. Be aware its a fair drive to Sydney city, or bus journey. There is a ferry from Palm beach to the central coast. Avalon beach is more of a surf beach than small children beach. but palm beach has a surf beach ocean side and a quieter beach Pitwater side good for small children. Avalon has a beach swimming pool.

A 10 minute walk up Road to Harbord Diggers Club, Restaurants, Bar etc.
Beautiful Freshwater beach and parks 15 minutes walk.

The house needs to be set up properly.
The house needs to be set up properly. Needs somewhere for towels to be hung. We had to wash the bathmat before use as it was dirty. There were no dishwasher tabs or powder to use the dishwasher so bought our own.

Our accommodation was wonderful, the local food was great and there was an abundant choice and the public transport right outside our door along pittwater Rd came every 10 minutes to Manly. Really lovely. Marianne W
