Beautiful hotel situated right at the beginning of the pedestrian area, in the city center, so you have easy access to coffee shops and restaurants and also to a nice park. The apartment looks exactly like in the pictures, it was very spacious and spotless clean, the furniture and appliances are new, the lightening of the room was very good. We found a lot of interesting things to do in the Shumen region and the stay at the hotel was very relaxing, it was the perfect choice for us.

Beautiful room! Clean and spacious just as in pictures! Beautiful place to stay, Hotel doesn't have on site reception but is readily available via wats app to assist with anything! Shower was incredible! Very happy! Have recommended to others and locals as we have family who live near shuman they will also recommend you to others as they were so impressed by the service we recieved.

Stunning, everything was clean and fresh, room was spacious with a big balcony, clean and spacious bathroom aswell, a smart tv in the room. We also had the morning breakfast, very tasty. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It was an excellent stay!

Impeccable cleanliness. The house and the garden are wonderful. The hosts – Despina and Todor – are very friendly. Good food at the restaurant (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast). Gooood wine! Parking in front of the house. Take into account Todor's recommendations. Try the Bulgarian breakfast. We are already making plans to visit them again.

Had a wonderful stay at Family Hotel Central Shumen! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Very relaxed, the pool was good, plenty of space, jacuzzi not working. 3 separate groups of people had lots of space. It was possible bring your own food and drink, cook on barbecue, full use of big fridges. Games room was fun.

Very pleasant provincial town, extremely few foreign tourists. English language is not really spoken in restaurants or touristic sights, and make sure to have cash with you for museums, especially the Monument and the Fortress on the hill - they do not take card payments.

Shumen is a very nice place for tourist visits.

Shumen is a very nice place for tourist visits. It has a lot of sites (museums, fortresses), and along the main pedestrian zone offers a lot of places with food and coffee. In close proximity to the town are located the historical Bulgarian capitals of Pliska and Preslav, as well as the Madara Rider UNESCO site. A landmark of the town is the gigantic monument, dedicated to the Founding of the Bulgarian State.

Very interesting if you like learning about the history of...

Very interesting if you like learning about the history of the country you're travelling. Most sights are not in the city centre - for example you have to walk over an hour to the fortress through a park and the forest - so that's a nice little hike, too. Extremely recommended: the Madara Archeological Preserve. Madara is only a couple of train stops from Shumen.
