Waking up to this small natural lake and behind it the big round mountains half in clouds every morning was sublime. The treat continues with a huge breakfast of coffee, fresh fruits and juices, homemade cake, eggs, cereals and more, in the company of wild colorful birds. The hotel is surrounded by nature, yet incredibly clean, and with well thought amenities. Very hot shower, comfortable bed, hamacs, canoe, terrasses, pool, overviews, great wifi, an old piano in the corner. Jonas, the owner is an incredibly sweet and considering person. Available, he made sure we had everything we need and that we felt at home. As we did not have a car, he arranged to pick us up himself for a small price. "Tranquillo" he says. He has a very soothing character that goes very well with how Lagamar feels. Billy, his best friend, is an artist, he lives there and has his painting workshop atelier you can visit. He can also tattoo. He sometimes cooked for us and it was delicious ! There are also fresh Oysters at the Quilombo restaurant just nearby. I loved how there many areas to relax, exercise, or work, all of them showing panoramic views on the nature landscape. There are lots of birds around and a small trail in the forest going around rivers to a massive fig tree. Getting to the city of Cananeia for the day to enjoy the beach and the dolphins is really easy by car (and could surely even done with a bicycle) I was supposed to stay two nights but i stayed for a full week. After 3 months abroad Lagamar was really a home away from home.
