Kind of stopped by on accident and then I didn't want to...

Kind of stopped by on accident and then I didn't want to leave! In Central, went salsa dancing on the pier on Sunday night, spent time at the mall, and ate at Merci. Stayed a few days in Barra Da Lagoa, hiking and exploring the trails at a tree house hostel with gorgeous views. Then stayed in Morro Das Pedras south of Campeche, which was absolutely divine. Laid out on soft sandy beaches and on grass at a peaceful lagoon. Danced forró at Tio Gatheras bar to a live band. Its the kind of place you never want to leave.

Creio que a cidade ainda esta em recuperação após a trajedia da enchente pois a cidade está com aspecto de abandono. Dou nota zero para os politicos que administram esta Capital e tambem fiquei triste e preocupado de saber que os politicos não tomaram qualquer providencia real para evitar novas enchentes e que Porto Alegre continua exposto a uma nova tragédia pois as comportas não foram recuperadas e o que se tem por la, segundo Gauchos com que conversei por la, nada foi feito alem de promessas politiqueiras. I believe the city is still recovering from the flood tragedy, as it seems abandoned. I give a zero rating to the politicians who govern this capital, and I was saddened and worried to learn that they have not taken any concrete measures to prevent new floods and that Porto Alegre remains vulnerable to another tragedy, since the floodgates have not been repaired and what exists there, according to people from Rio Grande do Sul with whom I spoke, are only political promises.

Gramado is just perfect! If you’re looking for a place to relax and have a European feeling but in Brazil just go to Gramado and stay at Pousada Encanto Vó Eni, they’re a bed&Breakfast and it’s just a beautiful place the mountains and a very family friendly place to visit and stay at.

Excellent holiday resort.

Excellent holiday resort. Lots of beaches, restaurants, bars bit also the possibility to do some hiking for instance. Very friendly population. Great place to go with a family. Groups of young people looking to party around maybe should look for another place as Bombinhas might not answer to their requirements but for families it is perfect.

Canela and Gramado are a lot of fun!

Canela and Gramado are a lot of fun! they are located in a high plateau (Serra Gaucha) at 800/900 meters above sea level. A strange mix of Bavarian and Italian immigration processed by a lot of Brazilian immagination. In between a a Bavarian town with scattered pieces of Dysneyland surrounded by waterfalls and araucarias. zillions of restaurants on offer.

My First Time meet Curitiba City

My First Time meet Curitiba City When I found out that two of my favorite American punk rock/HC bands, Circle Jerkys and Descendents, were going to tour Brazil, but they wouldn't be playing shows in my city, I knew I had to travel to see them. There was a date scheduled for São Paulo and another for Curitiba, but due to the situation at the airports due to the flooding that year, I decided to buy a ticket for Curitiba because of the price less, proximity and lower demand. In October, when Salgado Filho Airport reopened, I didn't waste any time and bought a ticket, then booked a hotel. I've always been curious about the city of Curitiba, because it seemed like a cool, cultural and organized city, in addition to having a strong skateboarding and underground culture. The day before the show, I traveled and when I arrived I met a friend who had come by bus. After checking into the hotel, we decided to walk to a famous local skate park, so that we could get to know the city better. Curitiba is similar to Porto Alegre in some ways, it's a big city but with the structure of a small town, the places are relatively close together and it has lots of trees, but it's more organized, clean and apparently safer. The people are very friendly and the local food is delicious. One day I went to the municipal market and ate "carne de onça", a typical dish made with seasoned raw meat, and I liked it "lol". There are also many influences from Arab and Oriental cuisine, and there are several restaurants that specialize in it. The night of the show was incredible, the place was as big as a shopping mall, with food trucks, shops and a tattoo studio (I even got one "lol") and watching these two embryonic bands of my lifestyle was amazing. I came back fulfilled, with the certainty that I will return another time.
