The Wellness Centre was amazing. The hotel services were also perfect, and staff were accomodating and did door service for fetching ice and gave us water. The pleasantries of chocolate and macrons with a personal note were a very sweet touch. The BKS was an amazing experience. The room was beautiful bathtub and shower. Also bed was so comfortable. For a couple that isn't new to Halifax this felt like a newfound treat and will make you feel pampered and lovely. Thank you Muir.

The breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

What a quaint place to visit, the Port of Sydney, the Big Fiddle, the boardwalk and the shopping was great. I was there during the Celtic Festival and had a great time. When the cruise ships are docked, there is small vendors open for shopping and I found some great items for purchase. It was easy to get around the city, although at the time of our visit, there was some construction going on, which slowed down the traffic. All in all i would love to come back in the future!!

Lunenburg is an historic fishing town on the waterfront settled in the 1700s. It's worth a visit, and not too far from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walk around the hilly streets for a self-guided tour, as there are signs in front of churches and on several street corners describing the history.

We had to be close to the ferry for an early morning crossing. Downtown was mostly closed when we arrived close to 5:00 pm. We walked to a coffee shop, but it had little to offer and we left without making a purchase. The hotel has a restaurant but we didn't want a heavy meal, so didn't eat there, but the menu looked OK. There's a pretty park across from the hotel and a beautiful view of the waterfront from our window.

Typical small rural town, nice to walk around town, some historic sites. One night stay was just right. Ate at Shore Line restaurant and gift, food was very good ,server was pleasant, patient and helpful. Lots of fires burning in around the areas. Devastation can be seen in pictures, heartbreaking!

Beautiful, small, crowded university town on the very edge of farming country. There is an Apple u-pick right in the town and several farmer’s markets. There are expensive restaurants, a couple of grocery stores, some nice small town stores like a consignment shop, for clothes, along with some basic small town stores and some cultural venues associated with the university.

Halifax drivers are the worst.

Halifax drivers are the worst. I am more comfortable driving in Toronto or Montreal than this east coast town. Hotel prices are atrocious. The airport is a long way out of town. The only way to do this place is on a cruise ship. The attitude here seems to be - this is the last place you can go because the Atlantic Ocean is your only other option!
