Location was very good. Ile d'Orlean was a pleasant place to stay, more relaxed and cooler. Enjoyed the patio chairs and table just outside our unit for breakfast in the mornings. Loved the nearby places to buy fruits and vegetables. Easy to get to Quebec city as well, not too far. Room was comfortable, beds were comfortable, and the fridge, coffee maker and pods supplied, the water bottles supplied and air conditioner were all appreciated. Self check in was easy.

Quebec City is only about 1.5-2 hour flight for me, but it felt very much like I was in Europe. The city is charming, the people are friendly and hospitable, and with so much to see and do. I went in early December but the holiday decorations and Christmas markets were just beginning, adding to the excitement of the holiday season. Most definitely will be returning!

Beautiful place.

Beautiful place. We can see the cathedral in front and the st Laurence river in back. Would have preferred a room facing the river instead of one facing the parking lot. The room was quiet. We stayed only one night as our Congress was the next morning. If it hadn’t been for the Congress would have slept in later! The bed was very confortable

regarding location, good out-of-town base from which to either visit Quebec City (easy in and out with great parking underground near town hall-Hotel de Ville) or do day-trips to winter sports, Mt. Morrency Falls, Ile de Orleans, native light show, etc.

The place and view were AMAZING!

The place and view were AMAZING! I loved the location- VERY CLOSE to the lake. The resort itself was situated on the lake, and have numerous activities that were included with your stay. My favorite; kayaking on the lake-super breath-taking. Especially with each hotel room overlooking the Laurentian Mountains! I would say however; that we had to change our rooms once during the stay- the light would not turn off, and the chargers did not work, the other hotel room worked fine- the staff were super accommodating! Overall, the resort had so much to do- perfect for a 2-3 night holiday!

The location was excellent for the purpose of our trip but the lack of food service on site was disappointing and required a 15 minute drive to the nearest restaurant. Unfortunately the place is in need of repair and renovation. At present I would say it is only 'basic'.

We stayed a week and we able to explore without feeling rushed. We picked this time of year for the Christmas Markets and snow. Due to it being low season some of the attractions were not open and this was a disappointment as we love history. My fault for not researching before. The Museum of Cilivilation is a must and we spent 4 hours in there and still didn't see it all! (but I read everything!) I can't recommend any restruants per say as they were all good and friendly.

The reason justifying a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is...

The reason justifying a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is first and foremost a visit to the shrine and basilica. I went there to do a weekend retreat and and the sanctuary does have chapels where one can retire to contemplate and meditate. But if you are looking for entertainment and activities, beware! The village feels a little rough round the edges and many properties look unkempt. That being said there’s a magnificent jetty that’s just been built where one can walk and get to admire the St. Lawrence river in all of its majesty. Not to be missed. To sum it up: Thumbs up but combined with a visit to Quebec City.
