We didnt have breakfast there . Contrary to the reviews we got a big room and it was not noisy at all. The view from our room of the fjord was amazing and adequate parking space including reaching to the office of the whale watching cruise and the village was very quick.

The restaurant was a real surprise. The food was delicious, good variety and not too expensive either. it was right on the waterfront and there is a wonderful promenade to use for a great walk before or after a glass of wine at the end of the day.

The Auberge is in a beautiful location. Set in their own extensive piece of wilderness next to a lake. We’d booked 2 rooms in the lodge but were offered a chalet in arrival (it wasn’t compulsory - we got to look at both options before deciding). The chalet had cooking facilities and space for family time. The owners were incredibly helpful and took us for a quad bike tour of the area to see beaver dams and to look for other wildlife (unfortunately we didn’t see any although there was evidence of moose footprints in the mud). It’s very well located for exploring the Tadoussac region.

We felt very comfortable in Apartment No. 9. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable – we slept really well. The apartment is spacious, quiet, and pleasantly dark at night, which made for a restful sleep. We were especially impressed by how peaceful it was, despite its central and well-connected location. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay that we’re happy to recommend.

My visit was to ski at Mont Ti-Basse.

My visit was to ski at Mont Ti-Basse. Great place to learn how to ski and practice ski racing. Good place to spend a day if you are OK with small local style ski area. Check before visiting to see if all runs are open and all lifts ( 4) are operational. The St Pancrase brewery and restaurant are great. Unfortunately Covid shut down restaurants for this visit.

Lots of cute coffee places and restaurants within easy walking distance, altho there are some hills. Whale watch with AML was fun. Whale museum was informative. Light hikes/ walks along the shoreline. If you take the bus, note there are no taxis in town to go to the hillside bus stop. You can walk, but it might be too strenuous for some. There may be others but I am only sure that a shuttle is offered to guests of the historic Hotel Tadoussac. Really enjoyed coffee on the sunny porch of Abri Côtier, very close to Hotel Tadoussac. Food was good at Chez Mathilde and there was music the night I went. Cafe Bohème had a good mussel/frites dish. Located next door to the only supermarket I found. Cooler in Tadoussac than in Quebec City.

Sept-Iles is a lovely little seaside town, fully walkable in an afternoon. There are a couple historic sites to visit, and a number of fresh seafood offerings. The scenery and sunsets add drama to the quiet vibe. Nice place to visit. You'll be bored if you stay for much more than a couple days though.

Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful scenery. Parking is much too expensive, but the town is small enough to walk everywhere. The whales didn't show up. For a tourist town, too many signs are French only with no English translations!

Sept-Iles is a quiet sea-side town, characterized by its ore-shipping facilities and it's fishing harbour. There is not much to do in the way of attractions other than the old fort. Walk the trail beside the ocean. Buy fresh seafood. Book your hotel early, they sell out almost instantly if there is any disruption of the train schedule or flight bookings.

I think you really only need one night in Tadoussac, unless you really want to spend a lot of time touring around the small town. We spent two nights, out of a ten day road trip from Montreal to Saguenay, and while it was definitely one of the most beautiful spots, it was also by the far the most expensive. Had I known what I know now, I would have stayed in Les Escoumins, which is only 20 minutes from Tadoussac (and also really cute but less touristy), camped nearby, or stayed only one night. A lot of the restaurants are overpriced and not very good. We had a hard time deciding on where to eat breakfast and lunch especially - not a lot of good cheaper options. A couple of cute coffee shops but I was disappointed by the coffee. I recommend the microbrewery for their beer and poutine, Chez Mathilde for their tasting menu (expensive but so worth it), Cafe Boheme (pricy but delicious - try the seafood risotto) and walking along the waterfront. We booked a zodiac whale watching tour with Vacances Essipit in Les Bergeronnes, about 20 minutes from Tadoussac, which was really nice and more affordable than AML tours - also it's Indigenous-run, which we were happy to support. We saw a humpback whale and some seals. Was a bit cold (wear lots of layers!) but really fun. We also went to Cap des Bons Desirs and the Marine Environment Discovery Center (we preferred Cap des Bons Desirs, and saw some porpoises and a fin whale there).
