The entire staff (from front desk to restaurant service to housekeeping) were amazing throughout my stay, offering exceptional communication and assistance at all times. The entire team is working together to ensure guests have a happy and care-free stay! My experience in the Junior Suite matched the description on the website in every way. It was newly renovated, very comfortable, spotless-clean and spacious. The kitchen had all the kitchenware needed. The balcony offered a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. There is a beautiful hiking trail to Lake Louise from the hotel which I highly recommend! But there are also busses running to get to the lake for 2$. Thanks for a wonderful time, especially to Karen and Carlos at the front desk!

We had a wonderful time staying at Fairmont Château Lake Louise. The view from our room window was simply stunning. Although the room rate was on the higher side during peak season, the window view is most unforgettable. It was snowing during our stay and we’d love to come back for a summer view! The Le Labo toiletries provided also made our day. Nice! The front desk and Fairview restaurant staff were very polite and helpful. We felt very welcome.

Phenomenal hostel- everything you expect from a hostel plus a fantastic restaurant, garden/outdoor area and ideal location. The dorm rooms are small but fine, a toilet inside and showers outside of the dorm. Each bunk bed with USB charger, light. In my dorm room the other travellers were considerate and it was quiet, slept well. You can sign up for shuttle bus (MPT -Mountain Park Transportation) to the lakes at the hostel, although I would recommend doing that online (and early!) - Moraine Lake is especially busy during tourist season. The bus stop for this shuttle bus (there are several) is right outside, hostels parking lot. If you just want to visit Lake Louise lakeside the public bus might be the cheaper option, but a bit of a walk to this station. You can either use the kitchen (buy food at the grocery store near visitor information, 8min walk) or enjoy the restaurant’s breakfast options.

Location, comfort and an all-inclusive stay. The surrounding area is quiet and absolutely breathtaking. Open fires, indoor heating, modern furnishings and beautiful blankets from Anián ensured warmth and a sense of luxury. The Furo tub was a lovely addition to the Num-Ti-Jah room. Shared meals with limited access to internet meant we made new friends and I had my husband all to myself!

The staff were fantastic and every little detail was perfect. We were celebrating my partners birthday with a trip around Canada. We were only staying one night and were greeted with a bottle of fizz and it was one of our favourite places out of the trip. Even better than the chateau Lake Louise! Would love to come back and stay for a lot longer.

Lake Louise is getting very over touristed.

Lake Louise is getting very over touristed. The Chateau is off limits except to guests and durring peak season the rates there are around $2000 per night which puts it out of reach for most people and the resturants are mostly only for guests. Parking at $35 in the summer is silly and the lot fills up early in the morning. The busses also get booked up early forcing some tourists to book "Private Tours" at an exhorbant cost. We live in Calgary and love the area but now only come in the off season or occasionaly camp nearby in the summer as most hotels are north of $500 per night. We can afford to stay anywhere but do look for value.. Parks Canada need to re-evaluate...

Central location to tourist attractions.

Central location to tourist attractions. Small quiet small residential town on trans Canada highway. Great pub in town to walk to and eat at evenings. Has interesting train history. Away from the crowds at Lake Louise.

Lake Louise attracts thousands of visitors who have to be managed; it's overshadowed by the mass of the fairmont Chateau hotel. Louise is one of hundreds of vividly coloured, turquoise lakes in the Alberta Rockies. If you want beauty with a little peace and quiet look elsewhere. Emerald lake, half an hour away from Louise, is beautiful ad attracts fewer visitors. Peyto lake, see photo, on the Icefield Parkway is perhaps the most dramatic (hint: don't turn right into the parking but continue straight on to the upper parking and avoid a strenuous climb uphill on foot). Accommodation at Lake Loise is expensive. Consider staying in Banff or Golden and driving into the area. Parks Canada has useful info about shuttle service and parking.

Field is a small, quiet, town just off the Trans Canadian Highway. It has a few shops and an Inn which serves food. There are spectacular mountains on both sides of the valley with a beautiful river running through it. There is a railway line running parallel to the road and it was fascinating to watch the long trains passing through.

I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from worth the price.

I stayed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge because it was the closest place to Lake O’Hara. I had managed to win a much coveted bus ticket, and this was the perfect place to stay the night before. Absolutely loved staying at the lodge, views of mountains all around. The only thing I don’t like about this area is the highway. People drive way too fast, it’s sometimes quite scary!
