We had a memorable stay and will return for sure. It is quintessential rural Switzerland at its finest-- with the gentle sound of cowbells ringing through the valley. Note that if you have roller bag, you really need to use their transport service, and the road getting up is quite steep -- but it is totally worth it. Oliver and Sarah made our stay extra special. We enjoyed the beautiful views out our window, the snacks and juices in the room and the fantastic breakfast. We also were wowed by Oliver's cooking and thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Hotel on both nights of our stay. With so many hiking trails right outside the door, we would have loved to stay for weeks!

One of the most heartwarming places. The view from the rooms was amazing, and the bed was very soft and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, location is absolutely mind blowing, what a view! Our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here this weekend just before Christmas. We saw snowfall and the Mountain Views are breathtaking (sounds cliche but it’s true). There is a local bus outside of the hotel (124 at the time of writing) that goes in 2 directions, to Bodmi where there is a ski school (10mins) and to Grindelwald towards the main town/railway (also 10mins). Bus runs every half hour but stops around 7pm. The hotel give you a timetable and guides. You can walk to town to the local restaurants however be very careful it is steep and can be slippery in ice/snow! The rooms were spacious enough, warm, clean, well lit and have that Swiss chalet charm. Rooms might be sound proofed, unsure but once the front door is closed, I could not hear anything- even with my noisy kids in the corridor, so perfect for light sleepers. At the front of the hotel to the right is a ski room down a short stairwell where you can keep your equipment, skis and boots. The hotel partner with Buri sports (in town) where you can rent ski equipment, they can drop and pick up at the hotel if you ask kindly. This hotel is located 10mins drive away from the main railway station. We travelled from Basel to Grindelwald by train, which took just over 2.5hrs with one change over- so very easy to get to. Breakfast was good, continental, juices, tea and coffee provided. They do an evening menu every day. Not overcrowded and just right.

I had an incredible 5-day stay at the Beau-Rivage, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. The room was beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. You can really feel the care and attention the team puts into every detail. A huge thank you to Sevenja and Luca — both were incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They truly made my stay even more enjoyable and memorable. The rest of the team was just as wonderful — everyone was friendly, attentive, and made me feel at home. It’s rare to find a place that combines such elegance, comfort, and genuine hospitality, and Beau-Rivage does it perfectly. I left with great memories and can’t wait to come back again soon. We loved Hotel Regina it had a nice 1920s era ambience without being tired and dated. Our room was basic with a private bathroom but the view out of the window was amazing. The lady on reception was lovely and so helpful she really made us feel welcome and helped us out when there was a mix up with our take away breakfast. The buffet style meals are very good value for money and absolutely delicious. All in all nice hotel with friendly staff and fabulous location. Perfect if you're visiting The Shilthorne as the cable car is only 5 mins walk away.

We absolutely loved the property. It is completely beautiful, rooms are perfect, very clean, the complimentary breakfast was excellent and Tatiana was great. The location is great. Very close to Interlaken (6 minutes on a free bus) and free parking. It is a quiet spot, which can be really lovely after a busy day sight seeing. Peter was an exceptional host, really made an effort and made you feel at home. Would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful and picturesque town.

What a beautiful and picturesque town. Plenty to see and do and great shopping. We were able to do the Jungfrau (top of Europe) trip from Interlaken Ost. The Beatus Caves were good and the ferry trip from Interlaken Ost to Brienz was so beautiful. The dinner we had at Hirschen’s was lovely! Highly recommend.

There was a great view from my balcony as we could see Mount Eiger facing us closely from time to time. The location of the hotel was also great as it was just 4-minute walk from the Grindelwald station. In fact, the room size was a bit small. However, the breakfast was good with variety.

Three days would have been right if the weather had cooperated. We had 3 days of rain and clouds. Did not go to the top of either mountain as it was totally fogged in on all 3 days. We did enjoy the rest of the area, doing what we could in the rain.

Wilderswil was a pleasant surprise. a quiet residential community a few kilometers from Interlaken, the area is quiet and friendly. A short bus ride to the main train station and into the city of Interlaken provides access to the rest of the area. I look forward to returning in the winter to enjoy the surrounding snowfall (hopefully!).

Wengen is charming, as we visited in late sept25 weather was extremely misty, drizzling and dull, breathtaking views on the train journey up made up for the bad weather, but very heaven rain spoiled an evening walk about, let me make this clear as at no point whilst booking our stay was it pointed out Wengen was car-free. Google maps will try take you on a wild goose drive so be very vigilant there are huge fines in some of these car free villages if police come across your error, You have to park 5 kms away, get the train, carry baggage etc on a train ride up, don’t be put off as it is worth a visit. it all works out very costly when you don't know this and if your working off a budget. We found Wengen to be a little less expensive than other areas on our trip, but be prepared for cost, we ended our trip early as 2 days were plenty if your not ski-ing or hiking here, we dealt with a really pleasant professional at the train station in Wengen who went above & beyond to provide information for a very early morning exit, note that everything is very much on time, a really good system, i reckon it as a few hour day trip only, there was a cable car trip and lots of nice places to see and some nice spots to watch the world go by

Mürren is a quiet village with good access to hikes and access to Lauterbrunnen the mountains and the Schilthorn. We would definitely stay here again. The village though is very expensive so be prepared for high costs for food.

t's a spacious apartment and was ideal for me, my wife and my 2 sons. The Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy and the bunk beds were perfect for my 13 & 9 year olds. The views from the windows are beautiful and there is a balcony as well that's very convenient. They have slip ons of various sizes as well as they request no shoes inside the apartment, a very nice touch. its very close to the bus stop which takes only 10 minutes to Interlaken Ost and run every half an hour. The Hosts were nice and communicative so a big thumbs up to this property

Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer.

Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer. We have spend majority of our time outdoors, enjoying nature. The ski resorts around Unterseen are amazing and within just 30 minutes you are on the slopes but without spending a fortune of money for a hotel, as it is usually the case when staying at a mountain resort.

Bönigen is lovely as it’s quiet and peaceful but it’s very easy to get to Interlaken centre to do day trips in the area. There is plenty to do also right in Bonigen there are lots of water activities and trails. It’s beautiful the lake is stunning. We did not have a car this house is fully accessible by public transport and food can be bought in the local shops or the big supermarket in Interlaken Ost the station you will pass through when you make any trips outside Bonigen.

Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels.

Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Highky recommend cappuccino and breakfast at the Aarburg (Tim & His Wife are awesome & The food not only tastes amazing but each dish is a work of art!) and the Boutique Hotel Bellevue.
