Warm and clean rooms, beautuful place indoor and outdoor, close to train station, just in front of COOP supermarket, tasty breakfast (many items). We did hiking to Akveduk (about 1.5-2 kilometers from hotel to the bridge), there was no snow in February, almost no people, not crowded at all. We were with 4 years old child. Not too much cartoons on TV, but that was ok, we went outside to make a walk and we had laptop. Wi-Fi is working and free in the hotel. Carpets are everywhere - very warm and cosy. Beautuful view from the window - you could see stars in the night and trains in the darkness, and mountains. Our room was ready at 12:00 (we arrived a bit earlier). We were able to pick up the key in reception.

Altough the hotel is old it is in a good conditions. The bedroom has a beautiful view from the city and mountains It has a good breakfast, and it is relatively close to the train station. It is near to a supermarket, a good bakery and tourist agency. As it is in a tourist located price is very high, but it seems to be in the average for similar hotels in this location (if you don’t have a car is better to stay close to train station, supermarket, backery,..... It is not easy to walk on streats during the winter)

Despite hotel being fully booked for biathlon world championship everything was smooth and well organised. Restuarant served great breakfast and dinner menu was amazing. Hotel is located very close to the train station and bus stops.

Fantastic walks all well signposted.

Fantastic walks all well signposted. Hotel Weisses Kreuz ideally situated in village, 12 minutes walk from station. Bergun is an excellent staging post for the trains that travel from Bergun, over the Bernina Pass to Tirano (E.g. Glacier Express). A must visit, in good weather, is Ospizio Bernina and Alp Grumm.

Alvaneu is a great location if you like to also explore...

Alvaneu is a great location if you like to also explore around for e.g. Davos and St. Moritz or if you planning to be skiing in different resorts. Is located about 15 min from Lenzerheide Ski resorts and 25-30 min from Davos. Only weaker point is that they is not a supermarket in the village but they available in the surrouinding.

I only stayed a day and a night which was perfect.

I only stayed a day and a night which was perfect. It was nice to experience staying somewhere a bit different from the big cities and resorts. It was very quiet and there wasn't a lot to do in Tiefencastel, I did a couple of small local walks. There was only the restaurant in the hotel, and I saw one other cafe (not open) in the town, and a shop by the rail station. It is a good base to access several famous train journeys including the Bernina Express and Glacier Express.
