This is a perfect hotel for hassle free skiing- especially with children, a few steps from the gondala made the mornings a breeze. Food was great, wood fired pizzas were a hit with the kids in the evening, but it gets busy so even if your staying reserve a table! The buffet breakfast was great. All the staff we super helpful and friendly. whilst we were there we were able to watch the torchlight decent straight in-front of the hotel which was great fun.

Experimental Chalet has great facilities. The concierge deserves particular praise; they were consistently friendly, helpful and professional throughout our stay. There is a complementary private shuttle service which runs from the hotel to transport guests to the ski lifts when needed (thanks to the drivers Remi & Dylan :D). The rooms were comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. There was a slightly retro feel to the decoration - I can't quite describe it. Maybe that's the eponymous 'experimental' part. Overall, the room was a very pleasant place to be

Everything! The property was in an excellent location. Just a short stroll to the gondola and the town which had a variety of options for eating out and nightlife. The breakfast was sensational! Fresh produce & plenty of it every morning. Storing ski equipment & access every morning was very convenient enabling us to get on the slopes quickly. The rooms with en-suites were very comfortable and cleaned every day! And finally the Staff were kind, friendly and informative. I highly recommend Hotel Mirabeau, such great value for money!

Verbier is a beautiful chic resort.

Verbier is a beautiful chic resort. You can find everything you need there. The local people are super friendly and kind. It is a little on the expensive side however. As only two of us travelled it was easy enough to get a restaurant for dinner, however during busy periods it is worth booking in advance.

Nendaz is not the best location to access the 4 Vallees ski...

Nendaz is not the best location to access the 4 Vallees ski area and depends on one run, which was in poor condition. The alternative bus to Siviez is not especially regular and takes a fair bit of time. The new lift back via Plan de Fou is a much better return option. The skiing in the Nendaz sector is best for beginners and more advanced intermediates and not especially suitable for progressive skiers with few long runs.

Many drag lifts, few chairs. Paradise for people who get vertigo from chairs. Everything works, but nothing is ultra modern or high speed. Mountain restaurants high quality. Self catering groceries ultra expensive, as is normal for Switzerland. Very good coverage by snow cannons so skiing was maintained to end of season.

Offers a good access to the ski area Verbier/4 Vallees. La Tzoumas is very quite and suits those who are rather looking for a quite place. Night life is almost non-existent. 3-4 Restaurants and a super market are available.

You can Ski to Verbier across the 4 Valleys.

You can Ski to Verbier across the 4 Valleys. We have friends there so we go every year . Cambouse has a great restaurant and the bottom of the Vezonay has a good restaurant too . There are plenty of places to stop and eat or drink on the slopes . The Printse ski pass is good for teens as it’s an area that is well structured so it’s hard to get too lost . They can roam around a bit on their own adventures .

A very high-up (1930m), artificially created and architecturally ugly ski resort atrociously ill-equipped from a car-park point of view. Hemmed in by mountains covered in acid-rain-affected trees, with very limited hours of sunlight. Just about OK for skiers in the upper-middle ability category who live locally and don't have to linger once they have finished skiing

Nendaz is nicely situated in the center of 4 Vallées ski-area so one can go anywhere and see everything in a week, although we hope to stay once for 2 weeks. Not too big village, but big enough to have everything one may need. And a spectacular view down to Rhone valley and up to the mountains on both sides of the valley.

I enjoyed Veysonnaz.

I enjoyed Veysonnaz. We picked it to be a slower pace than Zermatt, where we went first, so it gave us a different experience than Zermatt, which was what we were looking for. Much more quint and slower paced and certainly less crowded. The views are spectacular from almost anywhere. Great ski bus service. Nice servers in the restaurants and good food. The people at LeTerrasse & Greppon Blanc were great. It is unfortunate that there is a drought going on right now.

La Tzoumaz is small, with a handful of lovely restaurants...

La Tzoumaz is small, with a handful of lovely restaurants and bars. Easy ski access over to Verbier and the other peaks. The bus links are prompt but could be more regular, the last bus leaves the centre at 5pm, making it tricky to travel to/from the town in the evening without a car (or walking in our case). Skiing back to La Tzoumaz from Verbier can only be done via a 'yellow' route (unkept - with moguls), otherwise there is an easy bus link from Verbier to the gondola up to La Tzoumaz.
