Its a contemporary boutique lodge nestled within the araucarian forest , 20 min from Pucon. The architecture and the interior design of the place is inspiring, warm and is in perfect symmetry with its surroundings. The tranquility of the scenery . All the rooms are beautifully and sustainably designed and everything is new and well maintained. Alejandro and Cata have been wonderful hosts to us , and made us feel very welcome. The hotel offers sauna , a hot tub and massages apart from the outdoor pool . We stayed there 3 nights and it rained all the time which made the place even more magical and warm . It also has a good bar and offers home cooked meals which are delicious. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back .

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year. Food is not consistently great but Trawen never disappoints. Try your sopaipilla with queso and merken! Walk a bit out of the center to a frutería and load up on berries and other great produce in the summer. Souvenirs/artesanía are better outside of town (and further south). If you find something cool, just buy it, you might not find it again :)

Temuco is the cultural centre of the Mapuche community, indigenous people who have been oppressed but continue to fight for their rights. It is worth visiting museums, but also cultural centres and local people.

The downtown area has a lot of places to explore easy to get...

The downtown area has a lot of places to explore easy to get around on foot, via cab, Uber or bus. The volcanic hot springs are close, 30 minutes to one, 60 to another I HIGHLY recommend going! Guillermo, our taxi man, made himself available to us for our whole stay, whenever we needed him! The food is great, and there are a lot of choices, there are stalls where local crafts and traditional toys, clothing and souvineers are sold. The people are friendly and helpful and were kind about my terrible spanish. I wish I had been able to stay a little bit longer there is so much to see, and the Volcano is visible from most areas when the sky is clear of clouds. What an incredible sight! The next time I come to Chile I will stay longer in this area.

Very good place to visit situated nearby Conguillio National Park, but also Icalma area (and probably some more). Small, peaceful city having all you need, including tourist agencies which can arrange your time as you wish.

Nice small private space. Just right to relax.

Nice small private space. Just right to relax. This place would be great in the ski season (nice wood pellet stove would be very cozy) or in the summer (I was there in early summer) when the wildflowers and the hiking are great. Open windows and enjoy fresh cool air.

Nice town.

Nice town. Go to the Plaza de Armas before sunset and hear the noise from the ibis in the trees. Fuel your car whenever you get the chance - distances are long, and roads are steep. Note that there are some incredibly long stretches of one-way road work east of town - factor in extra travelling time.

Victoria is a small town right off the highway so I stayed...

Victoria is a small town right off the highway so I stayed there overnight only as I was heading towards the Patagonia further south. You pass through Victoria to get to a Famous Ski Resort The hotel I stayed at has a wonderful restaurant.. Terra Volcan Restaurant.

Go here to get away from the hustle and bustle of Villaricca and Pucon. Incredible nature for hiking and a big lake for rest and relaxation. And stay at the Portal Casternera Caburgua with Gladys and Enrique for an epic time!!

The city center is very beautiful, it is very safe and we can connect with nature without walking for so long, it is very easy to buy souvenirs and eat in the best places, homemade food made by traditional families, Ubers are very cheap and we can learn a lot of culture, without a doubt a fascinating place.

Temuco is a big city, and is not a particularly beautiful one. It does have a lovely central square, but considering the great beauty of other locations, Temuco is not very attractive for tourism. We wanted to go in pat because it is a city with large numbers of indigenous Mapuche’s and is well known for their gorgeous weaving and other artisan goods. Unfortunately, the market was apparently destroyed and has not been rebuilt, so there is no place to go to peruse the artesanias. We ate a a hotel a couple of blocks from the hotel we stayed in, and the food was very good. We definitely will not return to Temuco. It was easy to walk around, but it was not particularly pleasant.
