The hotel grounds are STUNNING. Some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen. The local culture shines through everywhere from the grounds to the room and more. We loved the free bikes provided as it made the distance into town manageable. Fantastic breakfast - the warm croissants were superb.

Beautiful grounds, terrific location, and Edith was so pleasant! For a last-minute change to our itinerary, Edith was accommodating and willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay amazing. The tasteful decor in tropical style, cleanliness and host's hospitality. Lorena spoke English and was always available whenever we had a question. The place is hidden behind a large gate wrapped in passion vine. The units with separate entrances are concentrated around a paved yard where it's nice to sit in the evening and watch the stars. I loved the thatched roofs! Our room was equipped with a ceiling fan and a fridge, everything was neat and tidy. We did not order breakfast, but it was available upon request. Chez Hiwa is located on a quiet street, 10 minutes from the town centre. Ahu Tahai, famous for its sunsets, is 12-15 min by foot.

    Breakfast and dinner are amazing. The structure is located near the seaside providing a really good view of the ocean. Rooms are large and with style. The hotel also provides a wide variety of half day tour and other services like transfer from/to the airport and rent services for scooter/cars.

    The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with a lovely swimming pool , the staff are super friendly and very helpful . The rooms were clean and had a good powerful shower the room also had good air conditioning and had a room safe . The buffet breakfast was excellent.

    Good location, just 10-15 mins walk to the town centre and the sea side. Room is clean, but the bathroom is bit narrow. The staff is helpful, he gave us a lot of great suggestions about our trip. Nice breakfast but do not have many options.

    This was a trip of a lifetime.

    This was a trip of a lifetime. I recommend everyone to visit Easter island. There is so much to do and see. This is an amazing place to visit. We loved doing the tours around the island and seeing the Moais everywhere and learning about the history of the island. My favorite places were the Quarry, Anakena beach and seeing the sunrise at Tongariki.

    Leave your watch and sense of urgency behind when traveling to Rapa Nui. Days begin with the sounds of Cocks crowing, the weather is temperate and the night skies are filled with stars. There are a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars for all budget levels (generally moderate priced). BOOK YOUR AIRPORT ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TRANSPORTATION (we did it through our hotel) in advance-taxi's are not abundant. We enjoyed the tours--make sure to see the sunset at Ahu Tahai and the sunrise at Tongariki!

    it is a beautiful island and the local people are proud of their heritage and anxious to share their history. The food was great and the beer very cold (most places). Take a tour of at least one day to go to the most special sites
