It was a great stay - room is tydy and comfy with good taste and well thought details. Big capacity water heater ensures a good hot shower, good quality shampoo and shower cream are provided, along with other essential utensils: tooth brushes and paste, shower slippers and room slippers, towels, intelligent toilet etc. Good equality beddings guarantee a good night of sleep. The owner couple are friendly and caring. Transportation can be arranged if you wan to visit JinShanLing greatwall. Last but not the least, the food is homy and yummy. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we will come back.

The place is beautiful, clean, and comfortable—perfect for groups, with a BBQ area available. The bathroom is lovely, and the location shouldn’t be a problem if you rent a car or arrange transfers. The TV offers a wide variety of movies to enjoy. The dining area is right next to the house, which is very convenient. The cook and the host are both kind and take great care of guests. The breakfast is simple but delicious and very fitting.

I chose this hostel as a base for visiting the Great Wall of China. There are a couple of ways to arrive there, the owner provides all the information after booking. My way: from Beijing North Station I took the "Huaimi line of suburban railway" to Gubeikou town. I bought the ticket at the train station 3 hours in advance and it costs 12 CNY. The trip takes ~2,5 h. From the station, a taxi took me to the hostel (~4KM, 20 CNY). It was arranged by the hotel in advance. Once you arrive you find yourself in a kind or yoga retreat. Calmness, tranquility, good vibes. I was lucky enough to have the dorm all to myself. The bunk beds are old styled, no curtains/bed light/bed socket. But my mattress was comfy. The bathroom area is excellent. Lots of toiletries are there for you to choose. And yes, the toilets are Japanese style! For extra payment you can have dinner and breakfast, all chinese style, cooked in their kitchen, mainly vegetarian. And before even settling down, Xiaowei (the owner) tells you everything about the trail you are going to follow the next day. She uses a translation gadget and sends crucial photos of the path through "Wechat" application. She and her assistant Lynn accomodate any need you might have, always smiling and thoughtful.

Everything , I’m writing this from the train station about to leave . The setting is perfect to go around the multiple parts of the Great Wall , there is one unrestored a short walk from the hotel . Honestly this place and its people are amazing . You will feel at home, they arrange everything for you and the food is delicious. It feels like home .

It was one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed! Lily and her husband made our stay a wonderful experience! They served delicious homemade food, great coffee and we had a very clean, comfortable room! the great wall is reachable 10 minutes by foot! What a wonderful stay!!

First of all, the owner is really helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Mutianyu Great Wall main entrance. The room is good with mountain views. The food at the guesthouse is tasty 😋 The owner helped us book the ticket and drop-off at the main entrance. After we came back from the great Great Wall, the owner also pick up us at the main entrance back to homestay. They are very kind, allowed us to use their kitchen facilities (we cooked thai food), and we had so much fun conversations with the owner in the kitchen. I saw many cooking techniques from her, really skillful 👍👍 She cooked Gong pao chicken, fried rice and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs for our dinner. I really love it, it was a tasty local food. And the food is more yummy when we can connect to local people and feel all local senses. The next morning, she cooked dumpling with eggs and vegetables for us....yessss it was yummy 😋. Upon checkout, she walked to the bus stop with us and waited until the bus arrived, I really appreciated it. Pity, this time I stay here only one night. I definitely come back to this place as I have a plan to visit Jian Kou great wall. And of course, I will stay at this Homestay again. Thank you so much for such an amazing hospitality.
