The location is great for uber as you can privately take your uber and leave it to enter the hotel. Unfortunately, Uber is a little restricted in the city due to problems with local taxis but the location of the hotel helps a lot. We were a group of four and booked a local tour company for private tours over five separate days. I highly recommend it, because we would otherwise not have known which neighbourhoods to explore, and we would have missed out on learning about Bogota’s interesting history. We stayed in the Parque 93 area and ate at several local Colombian restaurants there, also enjoying great Italian, Japanese, and Mexican food nearby. Bogota, like other places in Colombia, is steeped in cautious optimism for the future. Everywhere we saw people, representing Colombia's mix of cultures, interacting with us and each other with friendliness and creative energy. We recommend the Graffiti tour, Monserrate, and museums - Oro, Nacional & Botero. Walking around Candelaria and nearby neighborhoods is magical.
