The location was excellent. Breakfast was great and the room was spacious and accommodating. The shower was renovated and very nice. This was our nicest hotel in Czechia, even if it was a bit more expensive. We also found the food they served for supper quite nice.

We came here for the second time on a bicycle trip. And we really like this place. Great for swimming, nice rooms, delicious breakfast. And a safe place for the bicycle. This time we also went to indoor pool with its great slides because of the weather. And it is also recommendable and affordable (hotel guests get discount). We plan to go there again.

More than a genuine, more than the kind, more than the ever. They are the liveliest & loveliest team to make the travellers believe ‘’ yes can’’. Such gentlemen boss and welcoming kind receptionists.My heartiest wishes to each and every person (Team KEMP Decin) who make this did. My special thanks to the Boss “SVAN” who helped during the late evening of unexpected power cut in the Caravan. Such a fantastic place in Decin to stay which I would highly & gladly recommend. They maintain the common space area as neat as possible. I also wonder that all the visitors are also cooperating to do so. And the operation of KEMP Decin is very smart no need to bother anybody for the access. Since I am a foreigner and fortunately I have planned to extend my stay one more night. They have arranged the best what they can. Once again my heartiest wishes to the team. Keep it up :)

Rooms were warm and clean. When we were there in the morning was -1 degrees, but we had no issues with the heating in the room and the bathroom, it was warm and nice. Hot water in the shower was there right away. Rooms were comfy and clean. The restaurant has super nice view with sun, outdoor and indoor seating. The food is good and at decent prices.

The city itself is not exceptional but offers a good base...

The city itself is not exceptional but offers a good base for people who want to visit the surrounding area (Bohemian Switzerland in Czech Republic, Saxon Switzerland in Germany). Less crowded and more affordable than e.g. Bad Schandau on the other side of the border.

A great launching pad for walking in the area.

A great launching pad for walking in the area. Hřensko itself is fairly basic, but with a few decent restaurants serving local dishes. Plenty of tat to buy on street stalls too if you want presumably knock-off Nike hoodies, watches where the hands fall off or a wide selection of butterfly knives. It's a base for hiking, not a place you would visit in itself. Access is easy by train and a 1 minute ferry trip across the Elbe. Schmilka is just 20 minutes walk away.

Middle of many beautiful paths, walking distance to many natural highlights, great food in Vysoká Lípa - Pension u Loupežakú, hotel Kotrus. Dolsky mlyn, Šauštajn and river Kamenice were our favorites.

The center of Chribska includes a bakery, electric vehicle charging stations. Tourists come here mainly for hiking and seeing a natural landmark Panska Skala. The air quality is pretty bad during winter time (oct-apr) due to every other house using coal for heating.

Really nice walks around, hiking trails, forest, etc! Very beautiful and the trails are very clearly marked. I recommend the app mapy.cz to find the trails from the village. We were without a car which was a bit tricky because the bus from Decin is not easy to find, and when we hiked from there to other locations we had to order a taxi back which was pricey (but we walk very slowly, if you’re faster you can make it a round trip or hike back). But taking the bus from Janov back to Decin was very easy. If you’re vegetarian or vegan take in account that you’ll have to eat mostly potatoes and tomatoes all over the area. There is a small mini market in Janov. Also, most people in the whole area don’t speak English at all - only German and Czech! So you might want to have internet connection to use google translate.

Really liked the area, the location of the hotel. Hospitality was fine but some things were really amateuristic or even unprofessional, like very bad English and / or German speaking staff. The restaurant is an absolute no go. A home made version of mint tea seems to be a tea bag in hot water and home made fries come from the freezer. Very old fashioned, very limited choices, absolutely nothing available without meat.

Hrensko is beautifully placed village, destroyed by selling stands with all kind of "garbage". I do understand that this is city on the border (CZ-DE) so "overboarder trade" is local business, however either those kind of stalls should be placed outside of the walking center (e.g. on the river bank on the way to the border), or it should be nicely designed, not to destroy the beauty of the village. When you walk thru the center - you do not feel like you are in the picturesque mountain village, rather you feel like in a middle of bazaar.

Lovely, very picturesque, nice restaurants, very affordable for small budget, too. Restaurant Ve dvore in Decin, duck was very nice, didn't care much for the bread dumplings Restaurant Bamboo in Hrensko, pleasant. Hotel restaurant Vypres, very nice. Getting around in Decin is easy. However, the public transport schedules have changes in certain periods in the year, so read bus schedules carefully, or you might find out a certain bus doesn't ride anymore at a certain time after (f.e. 3 september) a certain date. Tip for hikers: Google maps isn't very precise with the yellow trail's starting point: to avoid wandering, ask Tourist information the precise starting point!

That corner of Czechia has been described as the lowest...

That corner of Czechia has been described as the lowest point of the country in elevation, and also in taste. There are numerous shops, all run by Vietnamese, selling the same unbranded shirts, shoes, etc. Anything that was branded was of dubious authenticity. I was caught out a few times as credit cards are generally unknown and ATM's will charge CZK195 (!) per cash transaction. Don't expect a convenience store selling day-to-day items, as the shops I visited focussed mainly on bottled drinks, alcohol and cigarettes. However, the location is simply amazing.
