- From $137.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,329 reviewsThe breakfast was wonderful, they served everything you could want. The room was charming, there were minor imperfections but that's due to the beautiful old medieval building the hotel is in. Parking was slightly expensive but was conveniently located. And the location is unbeatable. its on the quieter end of Quedlinburg city center, but walking distance to literally everything you could want to see. Very clean, cool underground bar, and staff super friendlyGuest review byEloiseIreland

This has been my dream city since 1978 and now in 2025 I managed to visit it again. I am fascinated by this town, its pleasant atmosphere. The architecture, the nice shops, the restaurants, the castle, the people, great!Guest review byValmarEstonia - 10.0

Fantastic town to walk around with oodles of old buildings tastefully maintained/restored. Plenty of opportunity to shop, although is seems this time of year, late September, things are slowing down and not every place is open. Had a great meal at the Zum Bar Hotel, you'll want to dine here at least once!Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0

Braunlage has a lot to offer, nice walks, and we loved the monster roller activity on the mountain. Puppe's bar is a really nice place to drink. And you have a great choice of nice restaurants. Reservation is required, especially the best rated restaurants on trip advisor are usually completely occupied. You can do some nice shopping too. We visited Quedlinburg, Halberstadt, Goslar, bad Harzburg, Thale and Weringerode, all very beautiful cities/villages. The roads in between these cities are beautiful.Guest review byJuliëtteNetherlands - 10.0

Schierke is a gateway to hiking in the Harz National Park and a stop along the Harz Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. It's quiet, friendly, and well equipped with a grocery store and a variety of restaurants and hotels. We suggest staying at the Pension Drei Elstern.Guest review byHulteen - 8.0

Town is full of history with medieval houses and a hilltop castle that is very popular for German tourists. English is not common, especially in restaurant or their menus, so sometimes difficult for non-German speakers. Great place to visit Harz Mountains hiking areas and the Titan-RT suspension bridge and Dam and the Wendefurth reservoir for boating. Harz Railway Steam train to the Broken Mountain.Guest review byCharlesDenmark - 10.0

I am a history buff, and am quite interested in European history. Quedlinburg, the many narrow cobblestoned streets and wood-framed houses, the great majority of which were fully restored, offers a perfect window into times long past.Guest review byGordonUnited States - 10.0

Goslar is a place we have returned again and again. The town is beautifully preserved with many wonderful halftimbered houses. The city hall and Kaiserpfalz in town are well worth visiting and Rammelsberg is a must see UNESCO world heritage site. Goslar is an excellent place to stay while hiking or cycling or just sightseeing through the Harz mountains.Guest review byBernardCanada - 10.0

A lovely traditional German town Good restaurants, bars etc Good location to explore the Harz Mountains Try the local cable car - for breath-taking views from the top However, the location is now a testimony to global warming and devastation of the surrounding forests If you were a climate denier before - you will not be after a visit - unfortunately Although this should not distract you from visiting the Braunlage area!Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom
