CanadaAs a frequent traveler and blogger, I will give them their pros and cons. The place clean and nice, the environment is safe and secure with adequate staff to include security. They have 4 large swimming pools, a jacuzzi, and a diving beach nearby. You can dive off the property into the sea. [Not the Sandy walk-in beach.] That beach you can get a shuttle bus from the hotel to the sandy beach 10-minute drive. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes.
The food was good. I am a Jamaican/Canadian, so our cultural food is different, but Alma has 3 separate restaurants and a buffet plus 2 snack bar, so you will find something to eat. Italian and Dominican restaurant goes by reservation. The Sushi restaurant can walk in.
Staff very friendly and patient. However, 9 out of every 10 staff members do not speak or understand English. So we had to have Google translate at our finger tips wverytime we see a staff who doesn't speak English or we have to ask for one who speaks English, which can be time consuming.
The hotel has daily activities inside and outside of the pool. They have night activities starting at 9pm to 11pm adult activities. However, the activities are done in Spanish, so I was not able to participate in any other than one of the dance which was also in Spanish but the steps are pretty easy to follow.
The entertainment section was well organized don't get me wrong. However, I had to ask the dj can you play at least one English song so we can feel like we belong. He eventually played 2 English songs for that night lol. Big up Channel one of the entertainment staff he is full of vibes. And made our trip a fun one. I must say all the staff were good to us, no bad reviews for any of them.

This was my 5th visit at this hotel, the first being in 2002, when the resort had just opened, and my last one 10 years ago.
The rooms are now renovated, as well as the bathrooms, which were updated to the current standards.
The entire area has developed quite a bit, there are now shops nearby and places where you can spend time. When I was there last, there was nothing around the hotel. Now it's a small village with inner roads and dozens of small shops and small hotels.
The port is now 5 minutes away just east of the resort, so it is easy to leave and arrive for/from excursions.
The best restaurant in the resort is still the Gheisha (japanese).
The kids loved the stay and can't wait to get back :)

The services were wonderful. Five salt water pools that poured out into the Caribbean. Half of the pools are exclusive for hotel guests so you sometimes get lucky and have it just for yourself.
The restaurant was also delicious with a big variety of foods and drinks. They had everything from pizza to tomahawk steak. And on the Saturday there was live music. It was really fun!
The nature was also a great highlight. There were lots of crabs and fish. Some of the best snorkelling we had was at the hotel (and we were in Las Terrenas and Punta Cana)

The place is like a very nice resort. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The pool area is amazing and calm. This is a perfect space for relaxing. I really enjoy sharing with the beautiful cats around. I invite other guests to share with them and give them some food ;).

Wife and I enjoyed the full service provided within this resort. The buffet was amazing. many options to choose. The entertainment was great and many options to choose from. The beach felt like an oasis with its natural palm trees.

The property goes by multiple names: "Cadaques Bayahibe Family Apts" and "Cadaques Caribe Resort & Villas". It's not a resort. It's a large complex with many privately owned apartments. Prior to our arrival, the host sent us a message, stating that our payment wasn't processed for reasons unknown. We were instructed to make the entire payment through: Zelle or CashApp. We later learned that this is typical of thieves because payments paid through those platforms are non-refundable and non-claimable.
THIS IS BAIT & SWITCH FRAUD! We paid for a 2 Bedroom Apartment Suite, with beautifully staged photos. But the apartment didn't exist! Instead, we were given two dirty, deteriorated rooms, on opposite sides of the building. No hot water, dirty towels, old stained sheets, stained pillows, bedbugs, mold, and ROACHES crawling out of the large holes in the walls!! Completely deteriorated and un-rentable!
We immediately contacted the host and demanded a full refund. They ignored all messages. Since we had no other accommodations, my family crammed into ONE of the small rooms and stayed one sleepless night in that awful environment. We quickly checked-out the next morning.
We filed a complaint with Chase Bank regarding the Zelle payment. We filed a complaint with Booking.com regarding the fake photos and fraudulent activity. We hired an attorney.
BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SEND ZELLE OR CASHAPP TO THIS LOCATION. IT'S FRAUD. THE CRIMINALS ARE NAMED: Manuel Suarez, Greta Ortiz, Claudia Ortiz.
We hope BOOKING.COM will help us get our refund, and not allow this property to continue victimizing other customers.

Casa da Campo is a beautiful resort with plenty of restaurant options, all serving excellent food. The wait staff, pool staff, bellmen, reception and all others involved in the resort are all excellent and take very good care of the guests.

Casa de Campo is very calm and relaxing.
Casa de Campo is very calm and relaxing. Not a place for party-goers. Roads are clean, very secure and you can walk around. A paradise for golf players. Restaurants are fine, but everything is expensive. Prices are in dollars and at American rates, while product and service remains Dominican. Surely a money making machine for the owners.

which is located together in the hotel area.
It is possible to use all services for payment in hotels.
It is close to the swimming pools and three of them are filled with sea water.
The fourth is freshwater.
Nice umbrellas, a sufficient number of sunbeds on a sandy base.
Since the hotel is on a rock, there is no classic sandy beach and the entrance to the sea is via stairs. However, this does not detract from the attractiveness.
Parking outside the building is charged 24 hours a day.

It's a quaint little town.
It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.

Stayed their for only one night as we were picking up a cruise the next day. Everything was good and the service was exceptional. As two senior women travelling I was very happy that the resort provided a wonderful person to pick us up at the airport and then he took us to the cruise port the next morning. I would definately stay their again. Also we arrived late evening so most eating places were closed so the owner made us an amazing pizza. This was a wonderful jesture as we were both tired from a long travel day and just wanted to relax. This was much appreciated.
