Everything was perfect:
- friendly and helpful staff (reception, room service, restaurants, bars, beach, entertainment)
- spacious and clean rooms (as a family we even got two connecting rooms and our children got twin beds, which they did appreciate)
- very clean common areas (staff is constantly cleaning the floor near the swimming pools and maintaining the green areas) - 5 huge swimming pools (+ 2 for young children) - does not feel crowded at all!
- live qualitative shows every evening (great artists)
- friendly and discreet entertainment team
- last but not least great food offer in all the restaurants.
We liked the fact that the hotel has a reasonable size and that it does not exceed two storeys.

Thanks to Mostafa, we were able to discover 2 incredible beaches with crystal clear water.
Also, we went several times to the GOBUS agency to get our tickets to Cairo but without success. The latter was constantly closed. Mostafa called to have the agency open especially for us. Without his intervention, we would not have been able to purchase our tickets.
The team is very cheerful and they will always do everything for your well-being. they are very helpful. We needed a hairdryer, Mostafa found one for us.
Also, there is room service, which is very rare in Egypt, outside of resorts
The place is very clean, very quiet, facing the beach and only 2 kilometers from the center. The bedding is exceptional. I recommend the place with my eyes closed following my experience.

My family and I just returned from an unforgettable stay at the Desert Rose Hotel, and wow—this place is pure magic! From the stunning gardens to the crystal-clear lagoon, every detail made our vacation feel like a dream.
The Grounds – A Real-Life Eden
The hotel’s territory is massive and breathtaking—lush palms, vibrant flowers, and blooming trees everywhere. The air smells like jasmine and sunshine, and I couldn’t stop taking photos of all the greenery. It’s like walking through a tropical painting!
Food – Delicious & Kid-Approved!
The dining options were solid and satisfying—maybe not Michelin-starred, but definitely tasty with great variety. Even my picky eaters were thrilled (a miracle!). The dinner buffet was a highlight: fresh pastries, juicy grilled meats, crisp veggies, and the sweetest watermelons I’ve ever tasted. Pro tip: Don’t skip dessert!
Staff – Above & Beyond
The team here is next-level kind. A huge shoutout to **Mahmoud El Amin**, our housekeeper, who kept our room spotless and surprised us daily with adorable towel art. Our room was modern, clean, and had the perfect poolside view—waking up to swaying palms was a vibe.
The Lagoon & Sea – Perfection for Families
The water was so clear and calm, even when the open sea was stormy—ideal for kids! Snorkeling by the coral reef (head to the right side!) felt like swimming in an aquarium, with colorful fish darting around.
Nightlife – Shows That Wow!
The Desert Rose entertainment team (special love to **Catherine!**) put on fantastic night shows—great music, dazzling costumes, and hilarious audience interaction. We never missed one!
**Extra Love for Samsar & the Restaurants
A zillion thanks to **Samsar**, our manager, who made our stay extra special with unforgettable dinners at the French restaurant Bistro and Dal Mar**—both were absolute highlights!

1 - Decent & welcoming staff : Reception, security, guards , chefs , waiters & drivers .
* Big applaud to Bahaa & his team from Reception as he upgraded my room from standard to deluxe for free without even asking which is a magnificent welcoming gesture .
** Big respect for Bahaa from Reception for booking me a special restaurant although my stay was short
*** I would like to thank Ashraf from the beach restaurant as he was always smiling to the guests while serving .
2 - Clean & good housekeeping : Hotel is super clean in rooms , toilets, pools, restaurants & bars with all amenities provided .Moreover, house keeping is perfect in timings .
3 - Food : wide variety of food in the main restaurant with almost everything you need
* I loved they have special section for healthy food & also ready meals for pickup
** apart from main restaurant there is specialised Egyptian restaurant for oriental barbecue ,specialised Italian restaurant & roof restaurant

4 - Location : Hotel is almost 10 minures by car from airport & the main bus station for intercity trips . you will be inside Hurghada next to Hurghada museum with many shops & activities around you .
Hotel is one of 3 Steigenberger hotels in same place ( Aldau , pure & Aquamagic ) where you will get access to see the facilities in the 3 hotels .
5 - Beach : you will have golf cars to pick you up & drop you off to the beach all time but the walk is almost 6-7 minutes to the beach which is not a big deal particularly because you will see great view for the green gardens and golf fields.
Beach is sandy with many sea beds , good facility & nice restaurant that will serve you to your lounger with drinks & ice cream.

Everything was at a TOP level.
The staff was very kind and helpfull. I will mention some of them :Helmi on reception was very helpfull, the check in and chek out very fast. Always there for our questions.
Balal Mohamed in restaurant very kind and helpfull.
Housekeepers Brahim,and Abdul were great. Rooms were very clean and great service. We were in rooms 1021, 3109,3110. Rooms were very big with big bathrooms.
I also want to say thank you to the lifeguard with mustache on the upper pool that helped us with the towels and chairs. He was always there for us.
And huge thank you for all other staff for great service and chefs for great food. Special thank you for Chefs that were makimg pasta and omletes in Citadela restaurant.
We will come back for sure!

Excellent resort. We visited in January and chose it because it has heated pools. We were not disappointed. Even the Aquapark had warm water for the slides which is very important for us and not easy to find. Pools were almost empty, lots of place to swim. Beach is very nice, lots of space, good snorkeling. I liked the fact that you can walk along the beache to other resorts and nobody stops you because I love strolling along the beach. The staff is so kind and attentive. No pressure for tips, no pressure for tours. It is a real 5 star resort, it feels very upscale. It's spotless. Food is very good. The best grilled shrimp in sauce I have ever had. Strawberries were very good quality, all fresh...in other resorts we rarely got such fresh strawberries.

Attention to details, guests were made feel at home by the caring staff which was extraordinary focused to serve customers. Really a big thank you to the fantastic Oberoi staff! We really felt cared for by everyone. They even prepared special food for our ten months old baby. The manager came to check on us regularly and everyone made us feel at home. Also the quiet, beautiful Nubian style wide spread out property was wonderful. We valued having privacy on the beach, no hassle and pure relaxation in a calming atmosphere. Rare to find such places like the Oberoi around Hurghada that is packed with mostly massive all inclusive loud animation tourist hubs. Def will stay again at the Oberoi when visiting Hurghada! We already look forward to it ☺️!!

We spent there last december week and weather was quite ok, great help in spending time were heated pools. Pools were clean, there was plenty of space for placing the sunbeds and the stuff was really helpful. Food was overall delicious, many options and nice venues, we also appreciated snack bars with some healthy small portions of food during the day, so we did not have to go for lunch to main restaurant. Starting from reception (Mr.Moemen) was friendly and supportive
Room keeping,pools, beach were super clean as usual
We liked mostly gamila restaurant which was oriental and staff was friendly ( Mr.Ali Hamed) was super professional and friendly with a great attitude
Finally, It will not be our last visit

Everything was really good: rooms are clean and spacious, service is perfect and the food is fantastic. My daughters are pescatarians and I am vegan and we have a great variety of freshly made national and international dishes as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. They provide an excellent choice of fresh and tasty cookies.

This time, compared to before, I experienced "Solo" traveler, as recharging holiday, and as it happens on past (with family) it doesn't make me disappoint on it.

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Our stay at Porto Ghalib was truly enjoyable. The location is beautiful with direct access to the marina and a stunning beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food offered a good variety every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The snorkeling experience was amazing we even saw sea turtles, which made our trip unforgettable. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely come back again.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second.
We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited.
I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.)
It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Qusair is a beautiful small town that deserves two days. One day is too short and three days is too long. The sea view is remarkable and the ruins of the Phosphate factory is a dreamy site that deserves about 3 hours of your time.

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

The city is not rich, so expect some garbage lying around.
Prices are generally very low, not adjusted for tourists (except at nearby hotels).
We found only a few restaurants, but many fastfood places.

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.
