TurkeyLet me first emphasize that this is a wonderful hotel. Anyone considering a stay should not hesitate.
1) First and foremost, the hotel is very clean. The rooms, restaurants, poolside, garden, and beach are constantly cleaned.
2) The staff are very helpful, friendly, and polite, doing everything they can to make you feel comfortable.
3) Although the hotel is crowded, there are numerous pools, activity areas, and aqua parks, making the entire place quiet and relaxing.
4) The food is delicious; it's not overly spicy, as the reviews say. You're sure to find a dish you'll love. The à la carte restaurants also offer delicious food.
5) They offer activities throughout the day, but the evening entertainment is really fun; you won't get bored. I think they're professional groups from outside.
6) The hotel has representatives from companies selling tours like safaris, Orange Bay, and diving. They politely ask if you'd like to take them without interrupting you. (We took the snorkeling and Orange Bay tour, which was excellent.) If you participate in these activities, the hotel provides meals.
The hotel security guard didn't let us in without checking the driver's ID when he came to pick us up. This made us feel very safe.
7) There's a similar hotel next door, and the two sister hotels can use each other's facilities. This is a great advantage.
8) The hotel also offers late check-out.
We especially thank Ghaly, who was very helpful in every way.
Finally, we'd like to thank the hotel management; the happiness of the hotel staff depends on the management.

The service was outstanding in every aspect, and the food exceeded our expectations. Each à la carte restaurant offered not only delicious dishes but also beautifully presented plates — a real culinary experience that made every meal special.
The resort itself is stunning: the sandy beach is perfect for relaxing and swimming, and the pools are spacious, well-maintained, and great for both adults and kids. Everything about the property reflects care, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.

Ms Eva, from Customer service, would check in from time to time to be sure that everything was perfect. We got a room upgrade with a sea view, double bathroom, and double room!
You have plenty of food choices throughout the day, and you'll never go hungry! Mr Ahmed, chef, and Mr Osama, the restaurant manager, are always ready to respond to any request.
There is a heated swimming pool. The Aquapark is fabulous. The gardens and the whole structure are well maintained.
The Kids' Club is nice and Ms Asel makes sure the kids are entertained and are enjoying the activities. She is really sweet.
The hotel also offers excellent activities for adults throughout the day, spanning from yoga to zumba, beach volley, etc etc etc
Guests who want to enjoy relaxing music and have some quiet time can relax at the Gravity Peninsula, farther from the main beach.
All in all, we strongly recommend Gravity Hurghada and we hope we'll soon go back.

Overall one of the best hotels in the area.
Exceptional customer service. Manager Mr. Tariq impressively goes extra miles to accommodate and care for your needs and he seems to be everywhere on the premises! Mr. Mohamed from the front desk is professional, dedicated and competent with a hilarious sense of humor. Staff in general were amazing; very friendly and smiling all the time. Food was nice with excellent varieties.
We specially liked the indoor heated pool as we were unlucky weather-wise (too cold water for outdoor pools, aquapark and beach for the kids). The heated pool saved our holiday. Still, the hotel includes an impressive variety of outdoor pools as well as a game room. Hotel offers around the clock free Golf car rides to the nearby beach which i found excellent, specially for elderly and those who are unable to walk (P.S: beach is not that far: 5-10min walk)
We visited during the Eid holiday and we were greeted with Eid cookies in our spacious, clean rooms, also they had a nightly lovely program for kids, not sure if this goes all year long, but it was very entertaining for the kids.
In my opinion, apart from the great accommodation and facilities, what makes this place stand out is the impressive treatment by all staff. Hats up. A great hidden gem

It was our very first time at the Royal Makadi Sunrise Resort and the experience has simply been exceptional. It started with the reservation and the communication with the hotel has been very reactive and fluide.
Our requests for the room was respected and the entire team is super efficient to make the check in super fast. The entire complex is very well managed. The team (reception, restaurant, beach, maintenance etc...) is super friendly and customer oriented. To be frank this is not the style we were used to in Egypt, and it was really impressive. Choice of restaurant (buffet or à la carte) is really great. Unique (tiny) comment -> the online booking system for the restaurant is working randomly but customer service was always ready to help. To be super "peaky", tennis courts may open a bit earlier than 8 AM.
When things are easy, no need to make them complicated -> we are super happy with our stay and are clearly envisaging to come back in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the amenities were great. The sea was beautiful — especially the area to the right of the pier — and perfect for snorkeling, with plenty of colorful fish and coral reefs to explore.
The food was tasty and had a lot of variety, especially at the grill stations. You’ll always find something to enjoy. The night shows were enjoyable and different each evening, which kept things interesting.
The staff were friendly and professional. A big thank you to Assistant Manager Mr. Zaki Said, Mr. Sameh Abbas at the reception, Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Toadros at the main restaurant, and Mr. Atef for his exceptional room service..
We look forward to coming back and repeating this enjoyable experience.

the personnel is very caring, friendly.
a big big thanks to our cleaning man - Hussein (we stayed in house number 8, room 8203). he took a great care of our room and made abasing animals out of bathroom towels.
the hotel has many a la carte Restaurants, we tried them all! amazing! especially the 2 seafood restaurants (Nacaia and Fellucia, If I remember right the names), indian and Mongolian grill.
the beach is also great, sandy, no need for bathing shoes. very clean.
pools are also top and of course the water slides !

Every thing is exceptional.
Since our arrival we got free upgrade to a bigger room. Was contacted several times by the management to check on me and check if we need anything.
This is my second visit and it is as amazing the first one.
The rooms are super clean. Pools are always clean and have fun activities. and the food is exceptional.
I'm Egyptian and i can say the food is amazing Egyptian food with great taste and so much variety.
And of course i can't skip the super friendly staff, they are super friendly and always looking for your happiness.

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second.
We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited.
I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.)
It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Port Ghalib is worth a visit, outside of the AI Hotels. Nice bars, good restaurants and friendly people. On Saturdays there is now a Cruiseship visiting Port Ghalib, hopefully the effects on the reef etc. will be not too negative.

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing.
Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere.
No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels.
Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

The sea was beautiful.
The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Not many tourists, no aggressive salesmen.
The city is not rich, so expect some garbage lying around.
Prices are generally very low, not adjusted for tourists (except at nearby hotels).
We found only a few restaurants, but many fastfood places.

One of the absolute highlights was El Gouna — a completely different world within the region. Modern, elegant, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm, it truly stands out as a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Hurghada.
For those seeking an authentic local experience, the Old Town provides a more traditional atmosphere. The market area can feel a bit chaotic and crowded at times, which may not suit every traveler, but it certainly offers a glimpse into the local culture for those who enjoy exploring and bargaining.
The sea and diving scene in Hurghada were exceptional. With its crystal-clear waters and colorful marine life, it offers unforgettable underwater experiences — a true paradise for snorkelers and divers.
We also joined a desert safari tour, where the ATV and UTV rides were exciting and well worth doing, especially for adventure lovers. However, the Bedouin village visit and the extended safari portion felt a bit tiring and may not be ideal for everyone, depending on personal preference.
Overall, Hurghada delivers a rich mix of sea, sun, activities, and cultural exploration. Whether for diving, relaxation, or discovering unique corners like El Gouna, it’s a destination that offers a memorable and well-rounded experience.

"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès. There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."
