Everything was perfect:
- friendly and helpful staff (reception, room service, restaurants, bars, beach, entertainment)
- spacious and clean rooms (as a family we even got two connecting rooms and our children got twin beds, which they did appreciate)
- very clean common areas (staff is constantly cleaning the floor near the swimming pools and maintaining the green areas) - 5 huge swimming pools (+ 2 for young children) - does not feel crowded at all!
- live qualitative shows every evening (great artists)
- friendly and discreet entertainment team
- last but not least great food offer in all the restaurants.
We liked the fact that the hotel has a reasonable size and that it does not exceed two storeys.

Thanks to Mostafa, we were able to discover 2 incredible beaches with crystal clear water.
Also, we went several times to the GOBUS agency to get our tickets to Cairo but without success. The latter was constantly closed. Mostafa called to have the agency open especially for us. Without his intervention, we would not have been able to purchase our tickets.
The team is very cheerful and they will always do everything for your well-being. they are very helpful. We needed a hairdryer, Mostafa found one for us.
Also, there is room service, which is very rare in Egypt, outside of resorts
The place is very clean, very quiet, facing the beach and only 2 kilometers from the center. The bedding is exceptional. I recommend the place with my eyes closed following my experience.

Inside the resort we did many excursions from horseback riding in the water and in the desert to the view of the coral reef. We used the SPA which gave us sensational massages. A special thanks to the staff for welcoming and pampering us from the first to the last day. We will definitely be back Jacopo and Francesca.

SlovakiaI booked this hotel for my parents, who are 70+, to spend their first Christmas somewhere warm and stress-free. Since my parents have been in Egypt more than 10 times, they had an idea of what to expect. They came back absolutely amazed that they had never experienced such a hotel in Egypt before and as soon as they get the chance, they want to come back to Amarina Jannah Resort.
The people who work here are absolute professionals and make their customers feel the kindness every minute, everything was new and clean, the room was huge, the food was amazing, the pools, beach and sea were breathtaking. I am very happy that I was able to give my parents such a gift for Christmas, and I think that from now on I will want to repeat it every Christmas. I want to thank the Amarina Jannah Resort for such an approach to oldest people who do not speak any world language, and they managed to make the pensioners so happy. I will come to visit you with my wife in a few months, for now I just sending the most beautiful greetings from my parents! Thanks again Amarina Jannah Resort!!!

HungaryThe hotel was great. Not luxurious, but extremely friendly, clean. The staff is polite, helpful, everyone smiles, I only think of everyone with love. The food was also satisfactory for us, it was always enough. They also brought a fruit plate to our room. It was my birthday the day after we left, but they brought a cake in the evening. There is a sandy part of the beach suitable for swimming and there is a coral wall from the pier. We have no reason to complain, in fact... I warmly recommend it to anyone who values friendly, pleasant relaxation over luxury. Excellent value for money. Thank you for everything MG Alexander.

I would like to share my fantastic experience with all those people who have not yet been to this wonderful place.
The location of the property is excellent, just a few minutes from the airport, the services are extraordinary, nothing is missing, free wi-fi, extraordinary cuisine that satisfies all the tastes of the various guests from all over the world. Unexpected holiday that far exceeded expectations. My extremely positive comment is especially for those who work within the structure who know how to make the stay very familiar. I therefore thank the general manager Atef Osman, an exemplary leader attentive to the satisfaction of his customers. special thanks to the factotum Mahmoud, an exceptional guy who accompanied us throughout the holiday. Thank you thank you thank you Mahmoud. In every resort there should be a person like Mahmoud who does not abandon his guests and was an important link that united us guests with the structure. All the staff work with a smile, happy and transmit their serenity to their customers too. I thank the two chefs Ahmed and Osman who are always ready to cook with all their commitment and ability, bringing out delicious dishes from the kitchen. The kitchen manager Ahmed Ali was a fantastic, unique person and above all very good at his job. I had the opportunity to meet equally special people like Wafe who monitored everything in the pool with a careful eye, Wael who accompanied us to the wonderful Italian restaurant Dolce Vita, Hassan, Abanou b, Beshoy, Alaa all excellent waiters and staff of the structure. With these people the holiday was extraordinary. The spacious, clean rooms, all with balconies or outdoor spaces facing the sea or swimming pools. Pools with warm and clean water, fun slides, very engaging and pleasant entertainment and above all a pier that leads to a wonderful coral reef. Three corners Happy Life is a guarantee in everything. One word to sum it all up: EXCELLENT

Mr Hassan and his collegues from the reception, and also all the other employees at the resort, are very kind and friendly. Every time I'm there, they truly do their very best, to make my stay the most comfortable as possible. I love the spacious, comfortable and light rooms. It's very clean everywhere. The food is great. Fayrouz has a very nice house reef for snorkeling, and it's great that Marsa Mubarak is only 20 min walk away: this is a bay where there are big sea turtles. I keep coming back, and now my friends are too.

It has been a great experience! Shams Alam is located in the best place of the Red Sea, where you can swim with the dolphins and to see the famous dugong. You can reach Shams from Marsa Alam airport in less than an hour! Every members speak english, italian and deutsch fluently. The cook Mohammed and his staff prepare international and local food every day, three time a day. The chambers are enormous and beautiful!

Return in Marsa Alam, for me it's always special, and for all the times I spent there, I return back home always with a good memories.
This time, compared to before, I experienced "Solo" traveler, as recharging holiday, and as it happens on past (with family) it doesn't make me disappoint on it.
Expected to find over Marsa Alam snorkeling 6 Desert safari.

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Our stay at Porto Ghalib was truly enjoyable. The location is beautiful with direct access to the marina and a stunning beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food offered a good variety every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The snorkeling experience was amazing we even saw sea turtles, which made our trip unforgettable. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely come back again.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...
I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second.
We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited.
I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.)
It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Qusair is a beautiful small town that deserves two days. One day is too short and three days is too long. The sea view is remarkable and the ruins of the Phosphate factory is a dreamy site that deserves about 3 hours of your time.

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

We've been to Dahab, Sharm Al Sheik and Hurghada before. We really like being in Egypt and particularly the snorkelling the Red Sea has to offer, but we wanted to try something new. Marsa Alam is similar in terms of offerings for snorkelling and diving but much much less crowded and much less shopping options. In fact some of the beaches we visited - Marsa Egla and Tondoba Bay - were virtually empty. There were perhaps us and one other small group of people there. The snorkelling was excellent. I suspect most people holidaying in Marsa Alam stay in resorts and don't leave them much. Package tourism - you see these massive resorts up the coast. Marsa Alam itself looks like a city still under construction. There are more half finished than finished buildings. Half of what look like shops are yet to be occupied. We thought that was fine though - who wants to go shopping on a holiday? If you are into shopping this isn't for you. Noticeably, the people in restaurants and shops hussle and hassle you much less than other places in Egypt. I imagine all this will change in coming years given the volume of development. But for now this is a super quiet sea side spot. A village still developing. This also means there isn't lots of cultural things to do.But, if you like to chill with your travel companions, dive, snorkel, kite surf or just laze on a beach (think rocky Red Sea beaches, not Thailand or Australian white sand beaches) - then you'll probably enjoy this. We had good company, books and cards and had a great time. You'll need to make your own entertainment (or go on one of the many organised tours).

I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.

The place is small but pretty, with nice bars and restaurants and lots of opportunities for excursions. The restaurants offer good food, but it's a bit expensive for Egypt; you can tell that tourists are expected to pay more than usual.
