The room was super clean. I liked the open bath area, and the balcony with a pool view. The hotel is close to the train station (7-8 min walk, it is on a hill). It was perfect to visit San Sebastian. I recommend it.

Clean, bright , modern hotel in an old building in an excellent location. Good breakfast available as well as a bar and a nice little sitting area. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. They offered alternative arrangements for visiting various interesting sites. Marina , in particular, went the extra mile to find a great, affordable driver to take us to the gardens and some small villages. This was a great way to see these places which would have been otherwise impossible to visit.

We stayed at this lovely new hotel as a family and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t have breakfast, it looked beautifully presented and very inviting. The location in this charming small town is peaceful and picturesque—perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. As a newly opened hotel, everything is modern and in excellent condition. We truly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!

Where do I start! The house and its grounds are just beautiful and every inch has been thoughtfully decorated with the addition of carefully curated artwork, ornaments and lighting. Arrival was very smooth and we were shown around the villa and then to our room. We stayed in Le Vue which is right at the top of the house and so benefits from having 4 walls of magnificent windows. The room was light and airy and from the bed you could look out on to the bay and see the ebb and flow of the tide (I highly recommend spend the night with all the blinds up and the doors open to witness the sunrise and to listen to the waves and the hypnotising frog chorus) The hotel has an amazingly well equip kitchen that guests are welcome to use to cook their own food (or a chef can be provided on request) There is also an honesty policy so you can help your self to drinks and just tally what you have had. There is a comfy lounge area and my favourite a dark and cosy library with laddered shelf’s. The garden has a natural pool, sauna and sunbathing areas and a sweet little gate leads straight out on to the beach. I highly recommend heading to the beach and walking left to the old port where you will happen across the cutest fishing shack style restaurant which serves up amazing food. The lads there were super friendly and spoke great English. Nothing is too much trouble for Karin and her team and they really do encourage you to treat villa Tosca as a home from home. We will definitely be heading back.

I booked this hotel for a rest with my daughter during the holidays. It is a beautiful hotel with a long history. It was founded in 1909 and has retained its identity, imbued with the entire history of France, from royalty to the present day. The room is typically French small, but has all the facilities for a stay including a very comfortable bed. We ordered breakfast in the room and they brought us very fresh and delicious pastries, starting with fresh baguettes in various types, croissants, and other famous French buns. Even if we had no desire to eat, it was impossible not to be tempted. :)) We had dinner at the restaurant and also celebrated my birthday. The cuisine exceeded my expectations, with very refined and beautifully presented dishes. And most importantly - it was delicious! Thank you very much to the chef! Used the sauna as well, it was mostly very quiet and we were able to relax. In front of the hotel is Grand beach, a lovely bay, and a shore for swimming and relaxing.

Great accommodation with everything you could need and a big comfortable bed with lovely linens . Big shout out to the housekeeping staff . How they manage to keep everything so immaculate with sand and grit all around the facility is a triumph . They deserve a medal ! Fabulous restaurant with great food and wine choices and caring attentive staff . They were all so kind and generous to us . Made our anniversary a very special and memorable night ! Perfectly situated with supermarket , boulangerie , restaurants all within walking distance and lovely cycle tracks and walks on the door step . We took the dog to Truc Verte which was beautiful . We didn’t use the spa but it looked beautiful We can’t recommend this wonderful place highly enough.

Exceeded expectations across the board. The hotel itself is beautiful and just driving through the vines to the hotel itself is an experience. We were kindly upgraded to the most beautiful room with a view of the pond and a seating area outside. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. For those uk-based - this les source is like a much more luxurious and wine focussed 'Pig' hotel. We are alrady looking forward to returning in the warmer months to experience the vines full of grapes and see the kitchen garden in full bloom!

The apartment is very spacious and clean. Some basics stuff are not available (dish soap, sponge or corkscrew) but you can ask for them at the front desk free of charge. Cécile and Morgane were very nice and helpful. They move us to a room with the lake view without extra fee. Great stay. Would definitely recommend it.

A beautiful and elegant city in the old part. Lots to see and the surrounding countryside is brilliant, we were there in September (after the peak tourist season) but everything was still open and the weather was fantastic.

In off season, some restaurants are not open or on hiatus, but there were enough good quality establishments. Walking tours are easy, if you are ready for stairs and inclines here and there.

A beautiful little town with a gorgeous old town, lovely river. amazing covered market and cathedral. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops, beautiful squares to sit and drink coffee/wine in, and plenty going on. Can't recommend highly enough for a couple of days, and so easy to get in and out of the airport. Wish we'd had longer!

Pau is totally enchanting.

Pau is totally enchanting. The boulevard de Pyrenees with it’s wonderful views is spectacular. The covered market is exceptional. The Castle/Chateau area is beautiful. There is so much to see and do. There are lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars.

We stayed in a central hotel with easy access to some lovely bars and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. It's an easy drive into the countryside; we climbed a mountain called Larrun, part of the Pyrenees, then easily back to St Jean de Luz for a swim and out for dinner! Also some good local shops.

The location of this B&B hotel was very convenient for our overnight stop. The room was in excellent condition, everything in the room was in working order and the beds were comfortable. Only one pillow per bed. Breakfast was very good. The only downside was that both the Coffee & Vending machines were not working.

For me, my opinion usually starts from the first greeting and at this hotel, the service was immediately friendly and personal. The local area is lovely to explore and the hotel is well located for this, and in a quiet part of the town near to the seafront.

A very pleasant and welcoming town. I'll certainly be back. The nearby restaurant Inde ('e' acute} provided excellent food and good wine. Very easy to get around on foot. The station was only 15 minutes from the hotel. Lots of pleasant shops. And of course the famous Pruneaux d'Agen are delicious.

Sarlat is a wonderful place. Everyone we met were friendly.

Sarlat is a wonderful place. Everyone we met were friendly. The restaurants were excellent. My only complaint are the dogs! The French are lousy dog owners. The dogs are allowed to relieve themselves anywhere, and, the owners make no effort to clean it up. Walking down the main shopping street in the old town can be an adventure.
