This resort is incredible if you are staying in Rovanemi you need to stay here!! It’s about 15 mins out of the city which is perfect (there isn’t much to see in the city) you are also right next door to Santa land where there are heaps of activities and photo opportunities. Having the meals included in the rate was great - the onsite restaurant is really good and the staff are very friendly. The room is honestly incredible - so clean, the bed is comfortable and sleeping under the Aurora lights is a once in a lifetime experience. Bathroom is also very modern and clean and the shower head is the best we’ve had on holiday. I couldn’t rate this place any higher it was the highlight of our Scandinavia holiday.

Incredible. The staff were exceptional, we had a table at the restaurant for a late dinner and the staff called everyone outside to see the northern lights, they even turned off all the lights and let us return to our meals afterwards. The dinner was delicious too. Breakfast was included in our booking and there was a lot of variety. The igloo we stayed in was nice and warm, clean and such a nice.wxperience, there is even a tablet in the room which you can set a northern lights alarm on, on the same night I got woken up by the alarm and saw the mesmerising green skies again. Location is great, just a short walk into the main part of Santa Claus Village. You can take a shuttle bus from the airport but we opted to go with a cab which wasn't hugely expensive.

Rovaniemi city is a modern, functionally built area...

Rovaniemi city is a modern, functionally built area surrounded by beautiful views and areas. It has a completely different feel from Summer to Winter, which I would say I prefered. Great tourist information to help you plan if you're already there, nice restaurants too. Rovaniemi Airport is about 5 miles away from the city centre. Buses and taxis are widely available. Santa Claus Village is about 4 miles away from the centre too.

I wish there were public shared bikes to go around the city.

I wish there were public shared bikes to go around the city. the buses aren't so convenient so I mostly walked. It's not a big city. Overall I liked it. I liked the area behind the Arktikum museum, by the lake where is also a place to site the Northern lights, if the weather allows it. You should definitely, visit a reindeer farm.
